Great buy for the price. Very good for a beginner plus more. I am relearning the piano and it is a great choice for me. The 76 keys give you a good span of the piano, the piano books give you a good choice of pieces as you progress. I am very happy I got it.
I'm using this for my piano class in college and this is honestly really good. It's pricey but it will probably last for a long time.
Glad I bought it
I looked at a number of keyboards in this price range and I'm glad I settled on this one. I like having the extra keys (76) over the standard length of 61. The 88 key ones didn't have very good reviews in this price range and the 76 key fits perfectly on my 4' console table. It has nice sound and nice touch. I taught myself to read music and play piano when I was young, which means there were some holes in my learning. I'm finding the books and the built in piano teacher very helpful in correcting some of my imperfections. I haven't downloaded the music software to my computer yet, but am anxious to see what options it will add. It doesn't have a midi jack, But you can download midi files to a USB and use it. It does have a USB port. I didn't think I was going to use the built in piano teacher when I bought it, but I'm now glad it's there. I feel I got a very good value for the amount of money I spent. You nee d to now it doesn't have a lot of memory on board, but you can use USB drives and you can always save stuff your not working on on your computer and load some new stuff. So there's a way to work around that limitation. Takes D batteries. Battery life 5 hrs. You could use batteries if your in a jam, but I wouldn't plan on it for regular use.
I loved the keyboard when I first got it, but after a month and a half, three of the keys started clicking. I'm two weeks past the Walmart return date, and Casio wants me to return it to a service center that is hours away. I had foot surgery, so getting it packaged to go is tough for me. This is a great keyboard with so many options, but resolving this defect is a huge hassle.
