It's a great product.. I am growing lettuces & eating them now. My son grew herbs & now they're starting little tomatoes
Many of the plants available for AeroGarden are not necessarily things that that I grow. I almost always use the grow anything packs. I've grown peas and beans, many many varieties of micro dwarf and dwarf tomatoes including Micro Tom, Tiny Tim, Orange Hat, Geranium Kiss, Bundaberg Rumball. Sometimes I use the grow anything to start my seedlings and then transfer to the garden. I can't even tell you how many Sungold tomatoes I started that way. Another is that you can grow multiple different types of plants for example I grew a Japanese brand of cucumber with varieties of peppers and a little kale because basically for these I just wanted to get them going well and transplant outside.
I absolutely love my AeroGarden. The greatest feeling when you are growing starter garden plants in your home when its so cold and dreary outside
Using this kit to grow lemons from seeds and am so happy with it. I tried doing this before in a little pot with soil and nothing happened, but in my aero garden I am having success. So far several of the pods have sprouted and the others may just be a bit behind. I am really pleased and hope to actually grow a lemon tree from these seeds. Next I want to try Meyer lemons, if I can find some!!
Looking forward to to using this kit next spring for seedlings. The tomatoes I'm growing now are producing well and I can't hardly wait for ripening and that very first taste of “home grown” produce!! May wind up with a “ farm” in my kitchen next year!
My Mom passed away 7 years ago and i just began using her aerogarden Jan 31. Used my own seeds in the pods. Started on a Friday and had growth by Monday! Was stunned! Certainly helped shake the winter blues! Plants grew too high! Will use petite items next time. I'm now a hooked believer and my Mom would be pleased. A great fun product.
This is so easy and very productive. We have been eating leaf lettuce since January and started 2 tomato plants that are now in pots on our deck. If you are “on the fence” I urge you to try it.
I am absolutely amazed at how easy it was to grow a green pepper plant. Now that I know that it can be done....I will be trying different types of seeds.
I have literally grown several different types of flowers and milkweed for my butterfly garden! I get the seeds started in the aero, then move the seedlings to a 4 inch pot...it's so easy and pesticide free!!
I recently came into possession of an AeroGarden and was very excited to start using it. It had been unused from a previous owner and based on the information that came with it, was probably made ~2007 but still works perfectly. The old kit had plant food tablets that were mighty creepy looking, so ordering the new kit I was very excited to see that the tablets were replaced with a liquid plant food. I used this to start tomato seedlings to later transplant and it worked great, however my Aerogarden could only fit 3 of the planter cages instead of the full amount that I wanted/ordered. The older Aerogardens appear to have been made much more shallow, so I have 4 dead spaces where the cages either hit a plastic support in the water reservoir, or they hit a sloped side and pop out. Overall products are good, just didn't account for age differences with newer vs older products.
