Have had humidity meters in my home for some time; just built a new home and it was time to replace my current meters with new ones. I compared many different meters and read other customer reviews and decided to try these. Ordered 5 meters, they were shipped promptly; they look excellent as I have them all located on my thermostats and are working perfectly as advertised. I have since ordered 5 more to place at various locations. I would recommend these meters to anyone who watches and understands the importance of humidity in your home or office.
I do not have anything wrong to say about this item. I like it so far. It's doing the job perfectly.
Really like this digital temp and humidity reader. We hung it on the wall in our basement and it keeps the reading accurate. Fast shipping..am very pleased. I do love Wal-Mart ;)
I really like the La Crosse thermometer/hygrometer in every way. It is a 3 1/2' x 3 1/2" square, with a small pull out stand, framed in a clear acrylic, giving it a clean contemporary look. Since it's small, it takes up very little space and it can be put any place. The digital readouts for both temperature and humidity are large and clear, and it only takes one AAA battery, supposedly only needing to be replaced every two years. Above the digital readouts is a chart, and the needle gage moves across the chart showing; dry, comfort, and wet 'zones' corresponding to the present humidity readout for the inexperienced person such as myself. The temperature reading is accurate as I have another thermometer (built into my clock on the bedside table), they usually read the same, and if there is a degree difference, it's because one is closer to the window. I initially bought this item because I was not sleeping well. I have a new very comfortable mattress, good pillows with the exact support and buoyancy I require, soft luxurious sheets, and no major issues on my mind. Although, I was tired at bedtime, it was difficult to fall and stay asleep, I bought this inexpensive gadget on a whim, and as soon as read that the relative humidity in my bedroom was only 21%, I purchased a good humidifier. Since I turn off the humidifier when I am gone during the day, I rely on this hygrometer, and according present RH reading I know when to turn the humidifier on in order to reach the comfort level I need to get a good night rest. My sleep issue is now resolved, and I am sleeping well throughout the night. For me, the La Crosse digital thermometer/hygrometer fulfilled all my requirements.
This was exactly what I needed to monitor indoor humidity over all. I have some acoustic guitars that are very particular to humidity and I needed something to give me true indoor humidity readings. This is very accurate in my option, and I have tested this meter out by going between different rooms in my home. It worked flawlessly, and so I purchased a second meter for one of my other rooms in my house. I highly recommend this product to anyone that needs a true humidity monitor device in their home. A must buy and at the right price I might add. I will add that I had been searching all over the internet for something flawless like this. I am glad that I found this option for my indoor humidity monitoring needs.
A little smaller than I expected, but works well, does the job and is a good value. You can hang on the walk or use the little kick stand in back.
This product is very handy for me to check the temperature and humidity. I set it up on my desk so I know the situation in my room. I never realized how much humidity in my house since I live on the hill. Now with this display that shows I am way away from comfortable zone, I think that I need to put a dehumidifier in the room!
Looks and performs as promised. Arrived on time. Really well put together, just not as big as it looked online.
Did not work correctly right out of the box. Would not show the room temp in Fahrenheit only centigrade even using the change button on back. I thought maybe I had a bad battery but a new one didn't help
I bought two of these items (good price, why not?). Turns out the temperature is quite accurate, but relative humidity is completely off. Right now both are sitting on my desk, one is reading 62%, the other 34%, and a calibrated unit sitting next to them is reading 45%. So the 'comfort gage" on one unit is reading "Wet" and the other is reading "Dry." Caveat emptor.
