I failed to read the details about the lamp shades being plastic instead of glass. Not even putting it together, I packaged it back up and decided to ship it back. After a couple days I decided to try it. It looks nice and puts out lots of light. Very nice.
This torchiere lamp sheds a nice light on the room, and the reading light is a great addition. It was easily assembled, and it's a good, sturdy lamp. The shades are plastic, which seemed kind of cheap when I unpacked the box, but they're actually very good looking once the lamp is assembled.
It is just the right lamp for my office during computer work.
I was skeptical bc of the price and the reviews. Since I was on a budget I decided to take a chance at it and I'm glad I did. This floor and desk lamp combo is exactly what I needed. It was packed well, no damages, sturdy and very easy to assemble(2 min.). My downfall on this item is that they provide only 1 light bulb and delay delivery(9 days).

I bought this for a senior neighbour. It is very basic, but easy and quick to put together, and serves the purpose. Keep in mind that you can only use 60 watt bulbs in these plastic lamp shades.

This is a good little lamp for basic use..it is a bit wobbly as it doesn't stay tight on the base so has a tendency to lean instead of being straight up. I use it for crafting and it serves the purpose well enough.
The style is really nice. HOWEVER it came in badly scratched. Actually there were several nicks as well as scratches on the on the white. Too much trouble to send it back. I am going to use some paint to cover it up,, I guess you get what you pay for. Carole Seidman
