I bought these for my 6 year old and he seems to like them and I love how they look.
Carpenter jeans are great everyday jeans but cannot be worn for school due to a small leg pocket that is almost too small to hold anything but is a pocket nonetheless. The pants fit my son at the waist line, but the pants are long. The pants were five inches too long, and my son is average and not overweight. I washed them four times before he wore them because of the length and there was no shrinkage (which is a good thing in most cases).
I purchased a pair of these jeans, size 14 slim for my 10 year old son. They fit perfectly and he loves them! They are well constructed, and very comfortable. There is plenty of room for him to move as he is quite active!

Got them for them for Christmas and they have worn them a couple times already....they really like them! Name brand for $12.50 a pair, you can't beat that!
I love these jeans for my 8 year old. Very sharp looking in the black. To keep them looking great, turn inside out and wash with very little detergent or none at all in cold water on the shortest cycle. The color will hold up. Not too much shrinkage and the fabric is very nice. Love that adjustable waist band.
My grandson likes these jeans very much and is happy to have pants that fit. It's usually difficult to find stylish pants for the slimmer boy.
My son has never had a pair of the carpenter style. they look so good and fit so well.
The quality and durability of these jeans are great. The only issue I have is that Wrangler replaced the snap closure with a button. I have a teen with down syndrome who can't button the closure. We will have to return them.
These jeans are too short for a size 8. My son is not tall at all and will only be able to wear them a short time -- they don't even touch his shoes.
