I'd wanted to own this on cd for a long time. It arrived in perfect condition and I've been enjoying listening to it.
Hard Rock/Metal at it's finest. This CD gets up and goes and doesn't stop. Def Leppard's skillful guitar playing make this CD a classic.
Shipping was fast. Best Def Leppard album out there
Excellent album. Pyromania is better but this takes second!
I was introduced to Def Leppard in '83 with the Pyromania album. I listened to it constantly, and played air drums to it, which was a blast. My older cousin would tell me how High N Dry was really Def Leppard's best album. To this day I disagree (Pyromania is without question the best rock album of the 80s), but it IS a great album nonetheless. High N Dry is really high energy 80s rock that has something most other bands really lacked at that time: melody and harmony. Their sense of melody and ability to sing great harmonies has always differentiated Def Leppard from their peers- I don't care who you're talking about. Def Leppard- even at this early stage- were always a great singing rock band. Anyone hoping for the more produced sound of "Hysteria" will be disappointed; this is really (along with Pyromania) the best of Def Leppard: raw and energetic. I love listening to High N Dry to take me back to the early and mid-80s when "Bringin' On the Heartbreak" was still on Mtv. I hope you enjoy it too: it's some of the best 80s rock ever made.
