the picture on this tv is so crisp, it was the best value per dollar as far as quality and it calibrates automatically when using the apps which I love
I have had it about a month and I love it. Sony always has good products. I feel I may not being doing it justice because it probably has more to offer in settings but I haven't played with it enough.
I love my new Sony TV and it is the best model I have had to date. I had the 850 model with 3D and it too was great, but this model has all the bells and whistles. Its software Is very intuitive and it's loaded with tons of top notch apps. Setup was easy and it has more than enough connections for hdmi, usb, etc. Sony has always made the best TVs in my opinion and this model exceeds my expectations.
I have had my 75" X950H for a few weeks now and love the picture quality. Nice and bright and very deep blacks especially for an LED TV. I use it with home theatre speakers so I can't speak to the sound quality. Overall I am very happy with the TV and would recommend it.
We've had quite a few 4k television's over the years and my god this 65” X950H LED is by far the best picture quality straight out the box, just adjust the brightness and you're good to go, has the blackest blacks, and it's plenty bright, great in a dark room or a well lit room. The built in Dolby ATMOS sounds phenomenal, this sucker gets loud. The storage is great, we have right at 20 apps installed not including the pre-installed apps. This also updated to the new Google TV UI. Plus it's at a unbelievable price for the quality of set, metal frame, with adjustable feet which was a big selling point to be able to keep our TV stand. Very happy with our purchase going on 3 months now w/ no issues.
Replaced my 49" Sony with this 75" model about a month ago. What an upgrade! The picture quality is fantastic. Watching movies in 4K is great and the smart TV apps work great. Sound is just ok, but I run sound through my 5.1 channel audio system. Just like being at the theater. Sports look great as well. Watched both the Masters golf tournament and football on Sundays. Better than being there in person. Motion is good and colors are true.
I bought this tv a couple weeks ago and while I'm happy with my purchase as it checks off all the features I wanted..1000 nits, vibrant deep colors, smooth motion...this set suffers from one thing I wish sony would let us control, the back light tends to over power the image at times, no matter what setting you use, obviously with still images this tv can get inky black like superb black, but as soon as moving content plays as in gaming or movie watching the back light becomes aggressive, if sony can retune the back light this tv cannot be beat. But I must say in Dolby vision the back light is much more controlled, this is why I know this tv can perform better under normal circumstances and just needs to be patched with software.
I got talked into a different tv, returned for this. Better picture quality and viewing angles. Has that frequent audio drop when going through the ERC hdmi despite my having a Sony receiver. Had to turn off Dolby digital plus and that did the trick although the audio depth then reduced a bit. The mounting holes are low so the tv sits higher than my old one, couldn't lower my mount due to wall constrictions. Overall happy with my purchase.
Picture is excellent but panel has 2 defects along the top edge of the panel. Defects are clearly visible in the attached photo. I would return the product if I bought it locally but it was not in stock so I purchased it from a Sony preferred US retailer. The retailer will charge me $135 to return the product-based on the high expense of return I will keep the product but I am not satisfied with it. Also product is marked on carton for sale only in Mexico but I bought it in the US from a Sony authorized retailer so it is not clear why they would ship a product that is marked only for sale in Mexico. This gives me concern about the coverage of the warranty. This is my fourth Sony television-I have always bought Sony for the quality of their products even though the prices are higher than competitors. I would not purchase this product again and am now unsure about Sony quality and reliability.
The TV is okay, but a single annoying detail ruins the whole user experience. When "OK Google" is disabled, the bright amber LED stays permanently on, which is especially irritating when watching TV in a dark room (see the picture attached). The LED cannot be disabled with the dedicated control in the menu: Settings - Device Preferences - LED indicator - Built-in MIC LED - Off. It's a bug to me, but not to the Sony engineers. They believe that Google needs to be always listening. Otherwise, the user must be punished with a bright warning light. Cannot recommend the product to anyone, but truly devoted Google fans.
