This is one of the best printers I have ever purchased, and very inexpensive too. I caught this one on sale for $37.78. It has been tested out and is very quite, has good quality print, and is very easy to use. I love the design and the all-in-one procedures of printing, copying, scanning and faxing. What an awesome printer! :)))
I bought this specifically to setup & print off my iPhone. It works great! There's an app you can download on your phone when you're ready to scan stuff too. But everything else can be printed off your phone. Setup was super easy too, just follow instructions & you won't have any problems. Works great!
This printer does everything I need it to do: print things. And plenty of things that I don't need it to do: copy, fax, scan, make toast (It kind of sucks that that last one. The bread barely gets warm when the light goes past it and the cover squishes it...) The wifi printing and phone app are incredibly easy to set up and use. The only issue I have with this product, and the reason this is a four star review rather than five, although it ensures me this is not the case, is that I'm pretty sure this printer is a Decepticon. This may not be a problem with every one of this model printer, but mine is definitely not right.
This is the second of these printers I have bought for my wife and me. The first I almost returned because the operating instructions were inadequate. To print a muti-sheet document to be printed on both sides of paper it must be done in about 75 sheet increments. When one side is printed the sheets are rotated 180 degrees and inserted printed side up in the paper feed drawer, hit the OK button and it will print the other sides of the sheets in correct order. I learned by trial and error that if too many pages are loaded it will exceed the memory, confuse the printer and you will waste a lot of paper. Once I figured out what works, I became satisfied with the machine. It is compact with a small footprint. It works wireless or wired but not both. It performs all the functions I need, will scan or copy using single sheet bed or multi-sheet feeder. I do not use the fax function.
I read the reviews completely before making this purchase... to replace an HP All in one that had stopped feeding paper. I think that the majority of people that wrote bad reviews based on their experience with the machine have forgotten that ALL PRINTERS come in several levels... Home Home/Office and Office. This is purely a Home printer. Ideal for the average home user that needs to copy a receipt, fax over a canceled check , or print something from online. Ideal for a student or casual user. The print quality was good, the speed could have been a little faster... but it is a HOME Printer. Anyone looking for faster brighter sharper... should move up to the next level... along with the cost increase. This unit sells for about $60... but you can find them less expensive... open box, demo (static display).... it can be had for less. I had no problems with set up.... it's pretty much plug and play. Even though I used the programming Disc that came with the unit... I still downloaded the latest driver from Canon's website. That just makes sense to me. I paid $40.00 open box from WalMart... so at roughly the cost of a set of ink cartridges I think I got a fair deal.
I have used Canon printers for years, and always like the simplicity of use. This one has fax capabilities that was easy to set up. Scanning is easy, except I like to scan to my pc as jpg files and I had trouble setting it to not scan as a pdf file. I can set it to quiet scan, etc. Color, black or grey scale. I still have not used all the settings. I like the top open scan for fast copy or pdf files as needed. i like scanning to my pc so i can edit before printing. Sometimes I have trouble seeing the little window when using the printer buttons so I mostly use the computer to control what I am doing with it. And of course, the price was great. I have not had to get ink yet, but those prices seem to be ok compared to some other printers. that cost made the difference for me before my purchase. Great delivery and fast also.
This printer will not print documents from your computer. If you want to print out a receipt you had from an online purchase, it would be better to have another printer for that purpose. Anything you want to print from online besides photos has a problem working on this printer.
Very difficult to set up, awkward interface. Although printer indicated connected to network, could not find it on network and could not connect any direct connect hardware to it. Returned and replaced with an HP Envy. Much easier to set up and connects to everything.
Getting this printer to work wirelessly takes a while and when it does print correctly it is very slow. I would be fine with these issues if the printer still worked. After printing a couple documents I threw away the box. Now that I can't return it, my documents are not printing correctly. See the photo. Not worth the risk.
i bought this wireless printer because i didn't always want o go om my land printer, i choose this one because i have a canon pixma and bought it at walmart about 6 yrs ago works great, this one we couldn't get it print after 2 hours of trying i was done
