If you have any sun and skin issues this is a terrific product. I have found it helpful for Disseminated Superficial Actinic Porokeratosis. It goes on smooth and helps relieve the itching and inflammation that comes with sun exposure and DSAP. I have used this for 33 years and carry it with me. It goes on white but is eventually absorbed into the skin. Healing.
Used for the first time today. I found the Coppertone Lotion free of that oily feel. My skin had a softness to it and I felt comfortable with it on. Since this was my first time using, only time will tell. As of now, I am happy with the product.
Coppertone Sensitive SPF 50 goes on easily and absorbs quickly compared to other zinc oxide lotions.
This has made my skin look smoother and younger and more healthy in just a few days of use. I was concerned that it would make me look white, but when rubbed in, it disappears completely. It works best because of all the zinc, which is what my dermatologist told me was the only thing that will keep skin from burning, it works much better than chemical sunscreen.
Use it every day on face and neck. It keeps out the ultra violet rays and it is fragrant free. Great product.
It does leave a white mask effect on your face. Great for other parts of the body. I am using it on my face. I put it on first before eating, dressing, etc., and continuously rub it in. It never is completely gone.
I have very sensitive skin prone to burn badly. I use this on my face and neck under my makeup every day even in places like my chin where I tend to sometimes breakout. It doesn't ever cause me a problem and I never burn. I use it every day regardless of season. Having once worked for a famous cosmetic company, I can tell you this really is needed because even for example walking to the car your sun exposure really ads up in a day. Also I am older and nobody believes my age, even the first time I went to the doctor after I moved south she asked me if most people mistook me for much younger. You should be aware though you don't need much and it has a whitening effect on your skin so it's got to me well rubbed in. The only thing I wish is that I had used it on the back of my hands and lower arms all these years. Oh and I have allergies and I love it that this doesn't have fragrance.
My son is allergic to the main active chemical in most sunscreens. He has to have sunscreen with either zinc oxide or titanium dioxide as the main active ingredient. This sunscreen works just as well as the pricier sunscreens in this category. Also, the smell is not off-putting. It doesn't really have a scent, other than zinc oxide. This sunscreen spreads very well!! It spreads even better than more expensive brands I've purchased. This will be my go to sunscreen for my little guy.
Coppertone's Sensitive Skin Sunscreen Lotion is the best sun block on the market. It is the only sun block I have been able to find with zinc oxide at 14%. A few other sun screens have zinc oxide as an active ingredient, but only Coppertone has it at 14%. This is more zinc oxide than is offered by my dermatoligist's recommended sun screen. I have tried to get him to change, but his excuse is that the one he carries (at only 10%) is more desirable in that it is skin colored and does not have the white look of Coppertone when it is first applied. Not to worry, the white fades away in about 10 minutes, and I have complete confidence in the 14% zinc oxide which I apply 365 days a year. And, I couldn't be happier with the price of this product at Walmart. Thank you Walmart and Coppertone for such a great product. Jo Bradley
Zinc oxide based sunscreen provides better protection from the sun than other products. It is not oily, and blends into the skin quickly.
