I have always loved equate. I worried about buying a "cheap" sunscreen I thought it would not work as well. I need sweat proof water proof and Hypoallergenic, so I took a chance and I Iove it. My skin does not burn from the actual lotion like many other waterproof sweatproof stuff does. It also does not have a white ghost color and it does not feel like glue. Also just saw a story on consumer reports that this was the top brand actually performing the way it should which was placed as best of all way over the other top pricey products.
Among the best sunscreens I have used. It goes on easily and does not remain sticky or oily.
GREAT FOR SUN PROTECTION
Better than leader brands!
Smells great and went on smoothly. Didn't feel greasy and we didn't get sunburned.
This sunscreen is easy to apply, doesn't have any offensive smell, and does what it's supposed to do.
Thought I'd give it a try because of the cheap price. Gave me heat rashes all around my neck, my face and even caused little rash bumps on my hand. My skin has tolerated all sorts of lotions and creams, but this is something different. I noticed within ALMOST 2 weeks of using it that it caused major skin irritations and has stopped using it since. I've done research and it says thick lotions and creams can cause heat rash because it blocks your sweat glands, so be careful guys.
Works well enough, and price is good, but it contains avobenzone, a chemical that reacts with the iron in your water to stain clothes orange.
Beware! The Active Ingredients listed in this product description do NOT match what is actually listed on the tube/bottle! If you look at the pictures of the back of the tube, enlarge it, you can see both the UPC code (6 81131 15803 9) and the list of Active Ingredients. However, when I went to pick it up at the store, the UPC code was the same, but the Active Ingredients were different. As this product (with the ADVERTISED ingredients) scored 2nd place (99 out of 100) on Consumer Reports recent sunscreen ratings, the difference is significant.
I got it based on good reviews very unhappy with that. I put too much of product on my body and was in sunlight for 45 minutes, when I came back home, I couldn't believe what happened for the skin. Even you could see my watch or ring print on my skin, still have those after 4 day :( Maybe it's not good for a hot day in California but it supposed to protect me for an hour...
