Had a hard time finding something for my teenage daughter. No matter what I tried her armpits would still smell. Tried this product and it works great!!! A bit pricey but it's worth it. No more smelly arms.
I have used the Soft Solid for years. I put it on at night and no perspiration. It is tricky to turn at first, but I have weak hand and I am OK if I use a towel to turn it. I do agree there is no reason it needs to be so difficult! I can't find anything about the "48 hr" on the front label. Is this new? You can use it for two days without removing it? Need more info.
I've been using this deodorant for quite a while now. I wouldn't use anything else. This keeps me dry and smells fantastic. When I do sweat the deodorant activates and smells so amazing.
Works, absorbs with leaving a trace
Ok, I’m going to be brutally honest here- I have a sweating problem. I have always had a sweating problem, and used to even get prescription pills and deodorants to make things more bearable. Even after having two kids (and all the crazy hormones that follow), this deodorant has actually let me stop the prescription stuff (and prescription prices), and really helps me stop sweating so much. I personally apply it both morning and night (in an upward motion- which helps avoid the stinging sensation from applying strong deodorant after shaving)…and so far, so good!
Smells like a man's deodorant
I am prone to BAD B-O especially around "that time of month", I also go to a HOT Yoga studio. I bought this deodorant needing something new to combat the stink issue. So far it has worked well, but I find the wheel at the bottom which raises the deodorant VERY difficult to turn. I am a physically capable person and struggle with it, I can't imagine being elderly or have arthritis and trying to use this product. I don't know that I will be able to continue using it myself, which is sad because I like it, but when I'm rushing in the morning I don't have extra time to spend trying to turn the wheel on my deodorant. Crazy!
The last two of these I have bought, the top that feeds the deodorant through has come off on both of them rendering about 70% of the deodorant unusable. This stuff is way too expensive to keep wasting my money on cheap packaging that leaves me unable to use the product! So frustrating!
I have been using Secret Clinical Strength for years and the last three I bought broke within the first week of use. The turn dial is nearly impossible to turn without a pair of vice grips and then they just break where you can't even turn it at all so I have over $30 of this deodorant on my bathroom counter that I cannot use.
It's disappointing the you rebranded and discontinued a consumers favorite. Rebranding one word and transitioning a product to a higher price point line might have earned an employee kudos, but you are running the risk of losing customers and I find it to be down right deceptive and greedy. The only reason I purchased Secret was for the smooth solid and from the reviews I see that line was popular with others. The gels are sticky, burn and do not dry fast, solids are cakey and get embedded in clothing and harbors the body orders long after washing. Not all clothing can be washed in hot water!! I have tried the Clinical strength product out of desperation to find the ‘smooth solid' and in my opinion it did not work better than the Secret Outlast line, as the ‘Clinical' name would lead you to believe. It also was much more expensive for a much smaller product size. It is not worth the extra money. PS most people do not want to be associated with having body odor or sweat that requires a ‘clinical' label on their deodorant/ antiperspirant. I hope that other manufacturers figure out the value of the smooth solid and if it is on patent, it expires soon so consumers can get a good product at a reasonable market value. I also must say that I never write reviews but find this marketing scam so egregious I had to write this. Too bad you would have had a customer for life.
