This is a great accessory for your GPS. I have a problem with my leather interior breathing and leaving a residue on my windows so suction cups don't stick to well for long after I clean the windows. Nothing is more annoying than when you’re driving the your GPS falls off your windshield on the floor or lap. Only problem is when you take off hard from the light in my GTO like anything else that isn’t bolted down will go flying.
The Garmin Friction mount is very handy to use. I like it because it is easy to mount the Garmin to and very easy to slip the Garmin and mount out of sight when we make our stops so no one can see it in my car. It is very easy to adjust quickly for the driver or the passenger to use and make changes. It sits on the dash board very easily and does not slide around since it is weighted.
By purchasing this accessory, you will not have the suction cup circle in your window which thieves look for. You will also be able to pull the unit off your dashboard quickly and easily once you get to your location, should you forget to power down your unit. And don't worry it is very sturdy.
I wanted something to attach the Garmin to besides the suction cup mount that came with the product. This Friction mount works great. Able to place just where I need it. Especially helpful for those wearing transition or bi-focal lenses as you can look through the proper area of the lens to view Garmin. Would highly recommend.
Love this garmin holder for my dash. Stays in place. My window mount holder kept falling from window in this extreme heat.
The item arrived as shown online. Works as it should with Garmin GPS units.
The product is excellent in keeping the GPS unit from moving around, also it helps me see and reach instead of the window mounted style. The only reason I gave a 4-star on expectation, was that the clamp that holds the GPS down can get a little troubling, but after a few more uses, this probably won't be a hassle anymore. Again, excellent product and I am going to enjoy it for many years, thank you.
I bought the friction mount because the picture of it showed the name "Garmin" on it but when I got it it was plain with no writting on it. I think they should not show a picture of something and then send a different Item. The mount works great though and I would highly recommend it.
I needed a replacement because my old one fell apart after more than 12 years. However, I couldn't lock it.
