My daily exercise routine consists of biking five or more miles, and, or, walking two miles a day. Either way I am in the sun during most of my exercise time. So, UVA/UVB, sunscreen protection is extremely important to me as a live in the year-around, sunny and warm climate of Florida. So, I welcomed the opportunity to receive a complimentary sample of Neutrogena Sport Face Broad Spectrum SPF 70+, water resistant, oil-free, sunscreen. I have always had issues with my facial skin using other general protective sunscreen products. They have been 'OK' for my arms, legs, and hands, but too harsh and oily for my facial skin. After two weeks of using this product daily I am pleased with my results. Following Neutrogena's instructions, I apply 'Sport Face' approximately fifteen minutes before I get into my daily exercise venture and exposure to the sun. I like that it does not leave an oily feeling or residue on my hands after applying the lotion to my face. And, I love that 'Sport Face' is water resistant and does not diminish my sunscreen protection as I perspire through my daily exercise. Neutrogena claims that 'Sport Face' won't clog pores, and, to apply, or, re-apply generously. Have not been out long in the sun long enough to require a re-application yet. But am impressed how water-resistant this product is. My forehead has been my most sensitive area to sun exposure. However, I am happy to report that 'Sport Face' works great in keeping my forehead from any redness, or sunburns. WooHoo! Neutrogena Sport Face bears the emblem of recommendation by the Skin Cancer Foundation. It is also formulated using Helioplex Technology, which is a broad-spectrum ultraviolet (UVA and UVB) skin protection containing avobenzone and oxybenzone made by Neutrogena. These two particular sunscreen ingredients are highly effective in blocking harmful rays. Avobenzone-containing products have decreasing efficiency after a few hours of sun exposure, but the addition of oxybenzone reduces the amount of degradation that occurs. And, that is why you should re-apply 'Sport Face' after approximately eighty minutes of sun exposure. I highly recommend the purchase and use of Neutrogena Sport Face Broad Spectrum SPF 70+ for your face during any kinds of physical activity. It works great, mild, is greaseless, and I have not had any negative issues to note. If you perspire a lot, like I do, this is made especially for you for maximum protection from the sun.
Neutrogena Sport Face Lotion Sunscreen is my top choice for outdoor activities. Its SPF 70+ formula offers reliable sun protection without feeling heavy or greasy. The water-resistant formula stays put during sweat-inducing activities, and its Helioplex technology ensures long-lasting defense against UVA and UVB rays. Easy application with a pump dispenser makes it perfect for on-the-go use. Overall, Neutrogena Sport Face Lotion is a must-have for active individuals seeking effective and comfortable sun protection.
I think it is suitable for sensitive skin. 70 spf is nice
Will use this product religiously during the warm months. I never realized how easy it was to get skin cancer until this past year. Since then, I have searched for sunscreen products with a high Spf. I specifically wanted one made for the face that would not clog pores and cause pimples. Neutrogena is a respected brand and their Sport Face sunscreen is a real winner. It is even recommended by the skin cancer foundation. The scent is very light and does not interfere with other fragrances I may be using. It is a medium weight lotion, not pasty like some skin creams and not thin and runny either. I have used it several times already when doing yard work on sunny days and I can say for sure it does not sweat off. I know I will use many tubes of this during the summer months. It is spf 70 and claims to last about 90 mins. I did not know that spf was the length of time protected and had always used a spf 30 on my face because I wanted some tanning, unfortunately I did not know that all the 30 meant was to reapply in 30 mins. After my skin cancer event I have learned a lesson and I am glad that this product is on the market.
The Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Face Oil-Free Lotion Sunscreen, SPF 70+ is a fantastic find for it’s saying power and sunscreen protection. When I say staying power, I mean that this sunscreen resists wear off from water, rubbing, sweating, or wiping off while drying. The SPF of 70+ gives you maximum protection from the harmful effect of the daytime sun that can cause so many problems now and in the future. The Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Face Sunscreen provides both UVA (skin aging) and UVB (sun burning) protection. This lotion is oil-free and user friendly to those with acne problems. It is designed not to clog pores. I would recommend this lotion to anyone planning to spend the day in the sun; be it active or not!
This great Neutrogena product is an oil free lotion designed for the face. It is designed to not clog pores like some of the other thick sun care lotions. It has a very light scent which resembles that of most zinc oxide products, although zinc is way down on the list of ingredients. I live on the beach in Florida and use only Neutrogena sunscreen products because it is the only manufacturer of sun care products that I can find that is available from normal retail shopping outlets like Walmart, etc. and that has “#1 dermatologist recommended suncare” written on the front. Other sunscreen products might say something like doctor tested, but they give no further indication that it is doctor approved. I have moved from an SPF of 30 to SPF 50 and now to SPF 70+ after advice from my several visits to the dermatologist for minor skin problems. Neutrogena products contain Helioplex - which is only in Neutrogena products. Helioplex a pair of ingredients that are highly effective in blocking harmful rays. One of the ingredients blocks the UVA and the other blocks UVB rays. Neutrogena then adds its’ patented stabilizer to allow these broad spectrum blockers to work longer. This product is water resistant for 80 minutes according to its’ label. It has a very light unisex scent, rubs in easy and is not greasy. As with most of their products, they recommend that you put it on 15 minutes before going out in the sun and reapplying ever 2 hours or 80 minutes is swimming or sweating. You will find recommendations of the Neutrogena sunscreens by many authorities such as the Skin Cancer Foundation. Neutrogena products date back to the 1940’s and are now owned by Johnson & Johnson.
I tried the Neutrogena Sport Face Sunscreen SPF 70+ once and have mixed feelings. While it provides great protection for my husband's skin while he plays outdoor sports, I find that it doesn't suit my skin type. It tends to clog my pores and doesn't agree with my sensitive skin. However, my husband loves it and finds it effective and non-greasy. Despite not working for me, I'd still give it 4/5 stars since it's a great option for men's skin, just not mine :)
Neutrogena Sport Face is a sunscreen that claims to be an oil-free lotion. That was real attractive to me since I hate the feel of putting on greasy stuff all over my body. It’s also supposed to resist getting washed off by sweat or water (for at least 80 minutes). Well, I can attest to its resistance to water. It makes your skin pretty slick and water just beads and rolls off. I’m not sure about sweat though. Sweat pretty much behaves the same way it does with any sunscreen. Since the time now is winter, I can’t really test the effectiveness of the SPF 70 claim or the claim that it is impervious to sweat. That’s really a summer time test. However, I can say that it fails my oil free test. It may be oil free, but it feels really greasy. By greasy, I mean it feels oily compared to the alcohol based spray on sunscreens and most other types of sunscreens. After applying, the skin has a shiny sheen that does not go away and you can clearly feel the layer of lotion on the skin. Then, if you touch the screen on your phone, you get a nice oily fingerprint that is better than an FBI imprint. On the positive side, it is totally fragrance free and did not irritate my skin in any way.
This product has a great consistency and I really like the way it feels on my skin. I love how it doesn't leave me looking or feeling greasy. I picked this up because I have acne prone skin and often sunscreens clog my pores and cause breakouts. I have heard amazing things about this sunscreen from so many so I knew I had to give it a try! I loved everything about it except the fact it somehow broke me out? I was kinda of surprised as I haven't heard much feedback like mine. But everyone's skin is different and will react to products differently!! It's always important to remember this! I will say it did a great job of keeping me from getting burnt but this is not for me, I'm sure it's great for others!
This item was not sealed and also looks like it has been used as a tester prior to purchase
