In my many decades of shaving, I have tried what seems almost every type of foam, cream, and gel known (and some which shouldn't have been known) to man. I am very impressed that EMJ has created a shave cream as good as any I have used, with better ingredients than most, at this small price! I have very sensitive skin but it has not been irritated by the mint shave cream or the mint post-shave. However, I mostly use the non-fragranced shave cream and am delighted that I do!_x000D_ _x000D_ EMJ is a terrific company with wonderful customer service. Perhaps, some of you like me are weary of going into high priced stores and having the clerks either glom onto you like barnacles pleading, "may I help you" like a broken record until you leave the store, or ignoring you because texting is so much more fun and important. None of that with EMJ. Its representatives are always helpful, courteous, and caring.
The last few years I have become more and more sensitive to additives in everyday products. Most shaving creams even though they claimed to be fragrance free, always left me irritated with severe reactions. Stumble across your product a few months ago. Wasn't expecting much different but after just a couple of weeks I began to see huge improvements in my skin. A couple months in and 5 plus years of daily breakouts and scarring had been almost entirely erased. Thank You!!! (My wife is happy also!)
My husband loves this stuff. Leaves his skin smooth, no bumps. He normally electric shaves but periodically likes a closer shave. This makes it enjoyable!
As someone very sensitive to odors, this is a great product. The only reason it gets four stars instead of five is that I find it clogs my razor more than other products. I've found the EMJ unscented shave gel is a better choice for me personally, but if you like creams definitely give this a try. (It's also available in their kit, which is great if you need other products too.)
First time using a shaving cream in a tube, not an aerosol can and was skeptical about whether it would lather or just slide off of my skin. Turns out, it works as well as the foam, maybe even better. Nice clean scent, nothing too strong or perfume-like. It's a keeper.
The shave cream itself worked pretty well. Didn't irritate my skin and gave me a close shave. The problem arose after about a week of using it (3 times in a week). The drain in my sink wasn't draining. As I continued to use the product the clog in the drain became worse and worse. It turns out it was the shave cream. I had to take apart the drain cover and remove all of the shave cream in order to fix the problem. If you're going to buy this just make sure to get some DrainO to go with it!
I shave my head 5 to 7 days a week and thought thhat I would give this a try. I've used Gillette shaving cream, shaving oil, shaving soap, hair conditioner, body wash, and Dove White bar soap. For me, this product has given me the least close and the least smooth shave out of all the products that I have tried. I stopped using it after three attempts and went back to what gives me the closest shaves...body wash or bar soap.
Cut myself if 4 places, 2 day old Gillette Fusion blade. 1 place was a repeat spot, the 3 others brand new locations. This stuff sure doesn't like me!!! Also, I found it to be quite oily.
This cream clogs the blades on my razor and doesn't rinse off clean.
I don't know if my facial hair is just too thick or what but I have really not enjoyed this product. One pass over my face and my razor was clogged with cream and stubble. Impossible to clean out. even tried soaking in water overnight. I suppose it does a decent job of protecting the skin because I have to go over the same spot 5-7 times before the hair is gone and I only cut myself about once per shave. Do not recommend.
