I bought this because the case and cover I got when I bought the tab just was what it was. It already paid for its self my daughter dropped it down the steps.
I purchased an Otterbox Defender Series Case for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and have been happy with it. Fearing an accident, I did not take my tablet from the my house until my Defender Case arrived. I was very happy with the price and the free shipping was appreciated. The case is rugged and the screen protector works well. The only drawback to the case is that it does not have openings for the insertion of memory cards. The owner has to take the case completely off to withdraw the memory cards. Overall an outstanding product.
Ordered and received just before vacation. Find case to be strong, sturdy protection for Samsung Tab 4. Even has a screen protector. Was easy to install and use. Removable top cover serves as platform which provides a foldable stand to lean Tab on to use screen. So far, so good.
Case is definitely sturdy and we'll built, I bought it for my son and it was considerably bulky but he didnt mind the size, however, to make use of the kickstand feature you have to use the case cover that goes on the front. It was too much of a hassle for him to put the case on and take it off whenever he needed it (and it made it more bulky) so he ended up not using it. Overall, case offers good protection for the tablet, if I could I would give it 4.5 stars because of the kickstand issue
Purchased two of these for kids Samsung TAB 4 8.0 tablets. Looking for kid proof cases. Found it with this case. Just be aware, they are NOT waterproof but certainly water resistant. Great all-in-one cases with overall protection. Only Con might be with the fact that the case does not attach to base to hold in place in upright viewing mode. But, the rubber body does hold steady. Thought it might be an issue before I purchased but not a major issue after using. Highly recommended.
This case is an absolute necessity when purchasing a tablet for a seven year old. The case is durable, fits perfectly (like a glove). The case removes some of the worry of leaving it unattended with children. The plastic face cover allows you to maneuver through the phone with ease. Drops are no longer my #1 concern!
I just love my otterbox defender case for my 8 inch tablet. I have used the defender cases for all my phones and when I found one for my tablet, I had to buy one. It not only protects my tablet, but the protective cover turns into a great stand.
The only think I do not like is how hard it is to remove the protective cover - it fits sooo tight, it is hard to get off Many may like that feature, but I think it is a drawback Otherwise, typical excellent product
I am happy with the otter box for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, however I do have two areas that I am unhappy about. I had my tablet for 5 months b4 an otter box was made available, this is poor planning. Also, I do not like the area for charging, the tab you have to pull up to plug in charger is heavy and weighs on the charger (sometimes) pulling it out. This is a sensitive area (on the tablet) and that weight can cause problems in the tablet charging area.
Cover is hard to remove, and smart card access is impossible without removing cover...a design deficiency. Not planning on removing card often, so just a point of interest...not a serious problem. Like the protection the case offers for my Galaxy
