This rotary paper trimmer is very sturdy. It has rubber feet on the bottom to prevent from sliding. There's and pull out ruler to edge the paper in place. The rotary blade can be removed to exchange for a new one. Also the blade needs to be pressed down to cut so you won't accidentally cut your hand when you grab the ruler. I do recommend this trimmer because it is just as good as a big standard trimmer but it is compact and easy to store away.
I like this trimmer. It's decently compact. I like how easily the arm extends and folds up for storage. The arm has a ruller on it, too. The blade cuts smooth. To use it, you just push down and slide it across the guide. The blade that came with it is a straight cut blade and cuts through 3 or 4 pieces of paper with a few swipes, but easily goes over 1 page and makes a clean cut with one swipe. The ruler on the cover makes it easy to measure and make accurate cuts. The blade is removable and changeable. To remove or change, you just pull the blue button on the back and slide it off. It's a great tool that has helped with a lot of paper crafts so far. It's great for scrap booking.
Fiskars makes a great paper trimmer. I like how nice and easy it is to use. The guide is very helpful for making an exact cut. The blade is nice and sharp, it glides through the paper while cutting it and it makes a perfect, clean cut. It is really nice for a home paper cutter since it takes up very little space. I highly recommend the Fiskars 12" paper cutter.
I absolutely love this Rotary Paper Trimmer! It's a nice size so I can trim all sizes of crafts and papers, and it's not too terribly big which makes for easy storage. The bottom has little rubber stoppers so that it won't budge while you're trimming. The blade has buttons that make it release and it has interchangeable blades that you can buy to have different styles of cuts (sold separately). My kid's Birthdays are approaching fast and I can't wait to put this to good use with their invitations and stuffers; I hand-make everything so having this will make the scissor part a breeze! It has cut straight every time I used it and is really easy to push. The design is simple and easy to read numbers. It also has an orange arm that folds out to measure larger areas. I love it and I would recommend it to a friend.
Fiskars paper trimmer is helping me make any school project so incredibly easy. Bye bye scissors (well not really), the trimmer is so much easier and faster to use than scissors when cutting straight lines. It definitely cuts down time to finish something. It is very easy to use, I'm telling you, you get this and you'll love it. It comes with a cutting board perfectly lined and measured in inches and centimeters, it has a metal like bar to help you hold papers in place, a plastic flap to see where you are cutting and a little knife (careful it is very sharp). It is very small it fits almost anywhere, we don't use it a ton so we just need a small one not a large one for big projects or work. I find this is great to have at home for those projects the kids be bringing home now that they are older. My daughter loves it and now will be able to start that scrapbook she's been wanting to do with no hassle.
The Fiskars 12 Rotary Paper Trimmer is an amazing and light weight go anywhere paper cutter. You can use this for scrap booking projects and also general office use. I love it because it is easy to use and it is very light and easy to take with you. I took it with me to my family vacation to Yosemite. I used it with ease to start our Yosemite scrap book. You can cut multiple sheets at a time. This is a product that I believe every family should own. Whether you use it for business, pleasure or your kids use for school projects, I think every home should have one. I love mine!
I received the Fiskars 12 inch Rotary Trimmer to review. The instructions were easy to understand. This little portable trimmer is small and easy to carry around. It has a pivoting cut rail that lifts for easy paper placement. The smudge guard allows you to hold your paper in place without smudging them. It contains accurate measurements in 1/16 increments. The self leveling arm swings out to hold papers up to 15 inches. It has a 28 mm rotary blade that cuts smoothly without tearing your paper. The rotary blade sets inside the blade cover and clicks into place. It has a permanent scale and grid cutting mat to line up your papers. The Fiskars 12 inch scrapbook and paper rotary trimmer has a guide to keep the rotary straight. It is a very likable and easy to use little trimmer. I like the rubberized feet to keep it in place. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. You may also purchase different rotary blades to make scallop or cutbar edges. Now, I do have some cons with the Fiskars Trimmer. The measurements on the pivoting arm are the same color orange as the arm. Even with my glasses it is hard to read. It glides through scrapbook paper but would not cut card stock without chewing the edges. You have to put pressure on the rotary cutting blade to get it to cut at all and that is not easy when you have bad hands. All in all I give the Fiskars Rotary Paper Cutter 2 stars because the cons outweigh the pros especially if you are doing things in a group. It doesn't stand up to its price for me. It is made of plastic and would be easy to break if dropped. I would not recommend to a friend.
The pros and cons of a Fiskars 28mm Rotary Scrapbooking Paper Trimmer: - This model comes with a single rotary F Style blade cushioned by a built-in cutting bar. These will need to be replaced over time. - It handled every straight cut. What it didn't do was make precision cuts. The rotary blade could not be positioned to start and stop at specific points, for cut-outs or "windows". - The blade is very sharp and can cut through several layers of paper, up to 8mm in thickness. - No scoring blade included. This is sold separately. - A decorative scallop-edged blade can also be bought. - The smudge guard is excellent at holding any papers in place. - The swing-out self-levelling arm has measurements imprinted on it, but I found these almost impossible to read. You have to be directly over the arm to even see them. A contrasting color would have helped. - There are no vertical measurements on the large cutting/measuring deck. - Works best for a right hander. If you decide to flip the trimmer over, your measurements will be upside down. For all avid scrapbookers and card makers, I'd suggest looking at one of Fiskars' SureCut models with a high profile blade instead.
Fiskars usually delivers some great Scissors and Cutters, this Fiskars 12 Rotary Paper Trimmer however is not good. There's little rubber nubbies on the bottom that are supposed to hold the Trimmer in place, but it still shifts around on the Table a bit while you're cutting. The Blade seems to work well with thinner Papers, but with Cardstock or Photographs it takes running over the cut a few times to make sure it got through. The biggest issue I have with this cutter is the measure-lines and ruler-grid. It is printed on the Trimmer a tad crooked which means I can't seem to get it to cut accurately. In addition to that the center where the blade runs is just plain white, no ruler-lines at all. I've got no clue where to line up the paper to get an accurate cut, because it doesn't show where exactly the Blade runs. If you're just cutting papers in half nilly-willy this will work given you're using thin paper. But for accurate line cutting this product is not useful. Unfortunately I could not recommend the Fiskars 12 Rotary Paper Trimmer.
Fiskars 12 Rotary Paper Trimmer was in my opinion supposed to arrive and WOW me just like my Fiskars Scissors that I have owned for several years and now couldn't use any other kind of scissors after these. But this paper trimmer is a big disappointment. I will say the over all trimmer itself is nice, the way you can line it up among other things. Its very easy to see the ruler, i like that it has a finger guard especially that its rotary which is different from my Fiskars Paper trimmers in the past that have used these little orange blades. But with all that being said the one major thing this is supposed to do is TRIM PAPER, i can't get it to trim one piece forget 3 or 4. That is unacceptable to me. My hobby which turned into a small donation “business” is Creating Greeting Cards. I have paper trimmers in several sizes from other companies also besides the Fiskars one but none are rotary. I thought I wasnt doing it correctly so I wanted a video and the person doing the video although was saying it worked great etc. I could see had the same issue as I. Unless you press down on the rotary ball so hard you will have non cut paper or half cut paper. Again i will say unacceptable. I hope that Fiskars either fixes this issue OR reaches out to me and explains if I am at fault and sets me straight. I would really appreciate that . I do not recommend this item at this time. I will certainly update my review if anything is different in the future.
