Strong alcohol smell is the only downside too me (Though it's the main ingregient). Otherwise it's a great product.
I've been using Wilton Clear Vanilla Extract for years. Yes, it is an imitation extract with Vanilla flavoring, but it makes everything taste fun and so delicious! In my opinion the flavoring of real Vanilla extract is "off" somewhat. Another thing is, the dark color of real vanilla extract turns white batter a tint of brown. .
Love this product and use it all the time. Wilton quality as expected and tastes great.
I use clear vanilla in my Divinty candy. The Wilton's Clear Vanilla gives it a nice Flavor and keeps the color a bright nice White color.
This vanilla is perfect for frostings and baking. It taste great and you can have a pristine white frosting.
I do prefer true real vanilla flavor but sometimes you just have to have clear for a true color to come thru in your frostings and this works beautifully for that.
This was awful. The package was very nice and delivery was fine. I don't know if it is supposed to taste awful as it's nothing like vanilla flavoring. I suppose it is for very sweet cake frosting to add a vanilla flavor? I'm not sure. I've added it with sweetener to plain yogurt, it's terrible.
It doesn't have a lid. The safety seal is still intact, but it doesn't have a lid. I can't use it without a lid unfortunately. Would I'll be able to return it?
I usually don't give negative reviews to the things I purchase. Specially groceries. But, this time I'm making an exception to let orher know how terrible this item is. This is not even close to imitation. It is the worse imitation of vanilla that I have ever use. I ended throwing it away because the bottle top was broken , the flavor was disgusting and it looks like peroxide water. Will not recommend this brand to anyone.
