I love having everything organized, because I hate looking for things, so this Brother Label Maker is priceless for helping with this. I decided to start in my office. I have a binder for everything, and to know which binder I needed, would make my own label, or write on the binder. When I received the Brother label maker, I went straight to the office, read the directions for the label maker, put in the label cassette (2 are included) and started putting a label on the binders. I was really surprised how easy the directions were to follow, and how easy the label maker was to load and make the label. The most difficult part was getting it out of the box, because it was packed so well. I have never had a label maker like this before, and I must say it sure makes label making much easier. You just type and when it comes out, push the lever and cut. Then just peal and stick to whatever you want the label to go on. It does require 6 AAA batteries, which are not included. The Brother label maker has a jack, so you can also use an AC Adapter if you have one. I am very happy with the Brother Label Maker, and would definitely recommend it Check out the pictures I posted so you can see that you can hold it in your hand, or place on a table to make your label. It is not big and bulky. Have a home for everything, and label the container so you know what is inside. It looks nice and you will always know where things are.
I received this to try from Walmart. I have never had one before and was anxious to try it. It came fully assembled. All I had to do was load one of the label cartridges, that came with the unit. I then put 3 AAA Batteries in...and it was ready to go. I followed instructions and in about 15 minutes began making labels. It was well made, easy to assemble, and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone! I am going to go online and buy a case for it. This is one great system!
It is easy to use. This label maker has different designs to put on the labels. The labels are water, fade, temperature, abrasion and chemical resistant. There are four different widths of label tape that can be used. They are 0.13 (3.5mm). 0.23 (6mm). 0.35 (9mm) and 0.47 (12mm). There are also specialty tapes available such as cable wire, extra strength, and iron on fabric tape.You can personalize anything. It has eight fonts, ninety seven frames and over six hundred symbols. The back of the label is split down the middle so that it is easy to remove from the back of the label. There are a variety of colors to choose from. The label maker can store up to 30 labels for quick reprinting from its memory. It has a Qwerty keyboard and one touch formatting keys. I like that you can type out what you want to say since it has the Qwerty keyboard. I have shown different ways of doing different thing. You can use it to identify the pantry or the linen closets if they have wooden shelfs. You could also use it if you had more than one child, to label their toys or use the iron on clothes to identify them if the child is at daycare or goes to school.

I really like that. If you are really creative, you will love that there are 8 fonts, 18 patterns, 95 frames and over 600 symbols for personalizing your labels and it prints up to 2 lines so you have so many options to fit your needs. It even stores up to 30 labels for easy re-printing. I like that it uses durable, easy peel, laminated Brother "TZe" tapes up to 12mm (1/2") wide that are perfect for indoor or outdoor use. The labels are available in a variety of colors and are split-back for easy peel and stick. This labeler operates on 6 x "AAA" batteries or AC adapter. Both the batteries and the adapter are sold separately.
The Brother P-touch PT-D200G label maker is not the label maker of my younger days! This label maker is awesome! It makes amazing labels! It comes with 2 sample tape cartridges to get you started. I read the directions and found that it has variety of 8 fonts, 97 frames and over 600 symbols. You can even store up to 30 labels for reprinting. The tapes come in a variety of colors and you can purchase special tapes that have extra stick-on ability and iron on fabric tapes. The sample tapes showed me how thin and flexible they now are. After printing out the label, there is a cutting tool on the label maker to cut cleanly, just press down on it. To stick on the label, you simply fold the label with the printed side in and you can see the backside is in halves, so it is easy to peel off the backing. I made a mistake in positioning a label on a jar, but I was easily able to pull it off and reposition. The frames are beautiful designs and my imagination ran wild as I looked at them all. So much you can do with this label maker! As new ideas popped into my head, I made new labels. My only disappointment was that the label maker comes with no power source. An AC adapter plug is optional and has to be purchased separately or else you must purchase 6 AAA Alkaline batteries. Of course if you wish you use the memory function to store labels, it would be advised you purchase the adapter.
First of all I want to remind anyone who is planning to purchase the Brother PT-D200 Easy-To-Use Label Maker that you have to also purchase 6 AAA batteries. The label maker can also be used with an AC adapter. But that is an optional item and must be purchased separately. I shopped around and found that the AC adapter can be purchased at Walmart and Walmart.com for about $10. In my opinion the AC adapter is the most economical way to go. I'm not sure if this Brother PT-D200 Easy-To-Use Label Maker is their newest model. But I am disappointed that Brother did not make it to use a USB charger like so many other electronics do these days. For this reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. All that being said I am really impressed with this label maker. It is very sturdy and feels like a quality machine... not flimsy or cheap feeling in the hand. It has 14 different fonts to choose from which can be printed in small, med or large size and can print 2 lines. There are 99 different frames to choose from as well. There are hundreds of symbols and emojis as well as symbols in several different languages. You can make templates and store them in files. It's great for a small business because it makes it so easy to organize labels that you use often. This Brother PT-D200 Easy-To-Use Label Maker is like a mini computer. I am very impressed with all that it does... considering that my only other experience with a label maker was that antiquated printer where you had to turn the wheel to choose the letters. The label tapes are in the form of a cassette cartridge. The cartridges that come with it are sample size but there is ample amount of tape to practice on and make quite a few labels depending on the size you make. There is one white and one yellow. But you can purchase other colors. This label maker is perfect for scrapbookers. The tape is laminated which means that the print will never rub off or wear off and is water and grease resistant because it is protected by a plastic coating. The tape is also weather proof and temperature proof. That means that it can be used for indoor and outdoor use. Brother also sells non laminated iron on-tapes for labeling clothing and anything made of fabric. Like I said, I am really impressed with this Brother PT-D200 Easy-To-Use Label Maker and I would recommend it to family and friends.
I have to say that I really like this label maker. I never had one before and always resorted to using markers. The machine takes up very little room on my desk. It was easy to insert the batteries and the cassette tape. I like the colors of gray, blue, and green, and the fact that it is from a well-known brand. The machine that I got came with two bonus tapes. I was a little let down that it did not come with three tapes. I thought that by saying it came with two bonus tapes, there was already a tape inside, but that was not the case. I plan on using the item a lot and I don't like having to worry about buying more tape in the near future. The cassette tapes are expensive. I eat a lot of frozen dinners for both lunch and dinner, so I am going to use labels to mark which ones to grab for dinner and which ones to grab for lunch. I'm also going to use the labels for marking personal property and putting my name on the mailbox. The labels make everything look professional. I will say that I think they are a bit too long. You would have to use scissors if you wanted to put one on something short. Maybe there is a function that can fix that, but I don't know. There are a lot of functions and some of them confused me. I will have to read the directions very carefully to learn everything. The machine prints quickly and cutting the label with the green tab cutter on the side was easy. I wish it took less batteries, six AAA batteries are far too many in my opinion.
At first glance, this brother P-touch looks very nice and easy to use. I was disappointed that there was no power supply included with the unit and batteries, 6 of them were needed. So, putting in the batteries was no big deal and installing the cartridge was easy as well. I was really happy to see in the instructions all of the feature and characters and fonts available. I turn on the P-touch and it looked as though it was not on. But after putting a light on the display in the middle of the afternoon, I was able to finally see the display. This unit needs to have a laminated screen. A back light or some kind of a way to be able to see what is being displayed. This is a serious problem. if I bought this label maker, I would definitely be returning it. I do like the features, and it does make an awesome label that is pretty much indestructible. I am bummed out about not being to see the display without light on it. Fix this problem and you have a winner.
BROTHER LABEL MAKER P-Touch Model PT-D200 This label maker is a handy size and is very portable if you are running it on batteries. It requires 6 AAA batteries, which are not included. This unit comes with 2 starter tape cartridges, one white and one yellow. The replacement cartridges from Brother are expensive, but are 26 ft. long so should last awhile. There are cartridges available from after-market suppliers for less money, but I can't vouch for how well they work. There is a definite learning curve if you want to do more than make single line labels such as used on file folders. I had to do a number of test runs trying to follow the directions on the enclosed sheet of instructions. This label maker is not really good for address labels as it will only print 2 lines. The print is pretty small if you're printing 2 lines. It has templates available and a selection of borders and quite a lot of clipart for a little more artistic touch. My biggest complaint is the LCD screen is very faint and hard to read unless you view it from just the perfect angle. I realize that a brighter screen would eat up the battery life. I have not purchased the optional AC adapter to see if that would make the screen any brighter, but I'm pretty sure it would still be the same faint display because it is LCD, not LED which would be brighter. Bottom line, this is a handy unit for making one-line labels. I am mostly using it in my home office for file folders.
Package says it came with two bonus labels but I didn't see any in the packaging. Kinda disappointed.
