I have not started this project yet, as am in the process of finishing another kit. I have really enjoyed and been very pleased with all the Dimensions Gold Collection counted cross stitch patterns I have finished in the past. I am sure I will be just as tickled with this one.

This stocking is beautiful. Anything from the gold collection of Dimensions is going to be very nice. High quality, organized and clearly explained.
This is a beautiful Christmas stocking kit. I purchased it to make for my first grand baby.
Though not visible from the photos, there are a lot of swaths of unstitched areas and half-stitched areas where the cloth will show. I don't like the look of unstitched Aida, and the Dove Gray color would make the snow look like old slush instead of 'twilight' blues. So I switched out the 16 ct. Dove Grey Aida for 28 ct (14 ct over two threads yield) Ice Blue Jobelan Linen. I was particularly concerned about running out of the provided floss, not only because of the larger size, but heeded warnings from previous reviews. Before starting, I took the kit floss and augmented it with corresponding DMC. The conversion number in the kit did not always match the closest color, so take the kit floss to the store with you. Check the floss count as soon as you get the kit - Mine was missing all of the metallic silver, which an email to the Customer Service promptly rectified. I've only worked part of the church and surrounding tree/shadows, but it is fun to work with varying numbers of floss to create different depths of snow. Gobs of blending two colors of threads!! There is a lot to pay attention to, so I would not recommend this for a beginner. Take your time to stitch and by all means finish it with a full liner, piping/cording and exquisite backing material - this will be a treasure of a lifetime.
Product arrived day expected. Product packaging was bit messy. But no damage to item.
