The new Pokemon HeartGold Version and Pokemon SoulSilver Version games inspired by the originals have evolved to include updated graphics and sound as well as intuitive new controls that use the Nintendo DS touch screen. For the first time, players can interact with all their favorite Pokemon outside of battle by selecting the leader from their party to follow behind them on their travels. The classic tales of the Game Boy originals are retold with a bevy of new areas and features. The new Pokeathlon is a multiplayer sports festival in which your Pokemon compete against others in Speed, Power, Skill, Stamina, and Jump performance courses. Gave this to my son for his 7 years old birthday. All of his friends have this game so I wanted to buy exclusive version for him. He is having a lot of fun with game and pokewalker is very neat. I wish though they had clear instruction for the beginner user. We couldn't figure out how to connect pokewalker once my son started game. I still don't know if he had to connect it first. I believe we had to. Once you start the game, you can not use pokewalker until you catch the pokemon. It took a while for my son. So even though I still am not sure if we have to or we are able to, but try to connect it first before you start the game since the instruction says we will receive the gift which he didn't get. He liked Lugia figure, it is pretty cool. I thought Pokewalker cover was neat and it would be special because none of his friends have it , but my son didn't like the idea that pokeball color (white and red) will be covered by black cover although he liked the picture of Lugia on the back. So far, he is not using it so I am not sure it is worth it for me to pay extra to get exclusive version. I wish the strap would be longer so that my son can put it around his neck to carry pokewalker. Overall, I am happy with this and am happy that my son is having fun.
I absolutly love this game! In my opinion it is the best pokemon game made so far. It is a great bundle and good for any pokemon collector! I highly recommend this product for anyone who likes pokemon!
Pokemon Soul Silver is a great game and the Walmart bundle made it an even better purchase. The Lugia figure is well-made and it looks great on our entertainment center! Definitely worth the price, this Pokemon Soul Silver bundle is great for all Pokefans, old and new.
i am a pokemon fan and i love this game. i haved played every game and cards. this is the most fun game in pokemon . so buy it at your local wallmart store or buy it online.

Amazing game, and very addicting... and about the case for the pokewalker review, you're not suppose to have the case and the clip on, you have to pick one or the other. The case fits fine without the clip on it. Anyway, love the game, and it's fun to play no matter what age you are =D

The game itself is really, really good!. The Pokewalker jacket when used with the Pokewalker clip does not fit very well. Also, the Pokewalker jacket is kinda hard to put on the Pokewalker. Really loose when used with the clip. Also can't see Lugia. See pics. Per 11 year old son.
I am a collector, therefore the Ho-oh figure getting bundled with this product was awesome. On top of that, the Pokewalker is amazing. And then on top of that, this bundle comes with a "sleeve" for the Pokewalker. This is an awesome deal if you are going to get the game anyway. As far as the game is concerned, being able to go back through Silver is great; everything has been updated to a Diamond/Pearl/Platinum-esque Pokemon feel. If you are debating on holding off to purchase this game, this should help: if you are a die-hard Pokemon fan, this is a must; if you are just looking for a game to play on your DS/Lite/i/iXL, then I would look elsewhere because this feels like the same experience of the this games ancestors. I have all of the other Pokemon RPGs (From Blue/Red up to Heart-Gold/Soul-Silver); these are fun (especially with the Pokewalker) but not a must-have.
The concept of the Pokemon games has been pretty much the same for the past 14 years. And by now that's probably not a good thing. If you have no clue what Pokemon is, don't get involved. It will consume your life. Pokemon is basically.... well... it's a simple RPG, but when dug into a little deeper, it's VERY complicated for newcomers. Onto the game itself. SoulSilver (or heartgold) is the definitive Pokemon experience to date, although it does have symptoms of what I call, "the 4th generation curse." The graphics won't impress (considering the power of the DS's 3-D capibilities), but the music is spot-on classic. This bundle was a great deal for me, although getting the Pokewalker jacket on-and-off left me with with a headache. The Pokewalker itself is a neat addition when I need a pokemon that I can't find in the game itself until later. And the Collectable figurine is cool as well. As far as value, the game will run AT LEAST 50+ hours, so your journey will be a long one. So for Pokemon fans, the classic "here we go again" line will ring, but it's a happy curse we are destined to live with.
