This mirror is not too small to see the cars, and not too big to fit well on the bike. Good purchase.
Have to cut off the end of the rubber grip to get this end connector into the end of the handle bar. My bike a tricycle 26 inch has pointed handle grips.
The mirror is like an extreme fisheye lens, cars and traffic is so tiny that it is hard to make out in the mirror image. It shows large segment of the pavement and the sky, cars/traffic are almost lost on the wide field of view. See attached image comparing a regular mirror with slight curvature and this mirror with very strong curvature.
Ordered this mirror because it came as an option for the bike. It needs a hole to screw it into place and has no clamp. I took it to a local Walmart to exchange.
For bicycle riding one needs real life representation - these mirrors, although highly and desirably adjustable lack the necessity to represent traffic nearness - only traffic that is very close is visible - one needs to know what is essentially coming towards them and these mirrors do not.
Nice Mirror, My bike the handle bar gripes are to hard to remove hence making impossible to use. And my friend's bike handle bar gripes don't have a hole in the end..We had to buy a different type of mirror. We can't judge the usefulness or function of this product because we unable to install the mirror.
I loved the installation, but the fact that it's a convex mirror makes things very hard to see. Even if a car is fairly close to you it still looks very small in this mirror. I have to really squint to see what's behind me and it's way too distracting when I'm biking.
The adapter was 15mm and my bike required a 9/16" adapter. It was too large to fit in the end of the handlebars. So, unable to attach the 3D mirror and not able to find an appropriate size adapter.
Two big problems with this mirror. 1) Heavily convexed. Only good if you want to keep making sure your rear tire is still attached to your bike. Anything further then 20 feet behind the mirror location is too small to make out or even realize it's there. A rear view mirror, this is not. It is a blind spot mirror with a very heavy curve to it. 2) Vibrations mainly due to thinner plastic arm at the elbow joint. I popped out the "nicely made, but useless mirror" in about a half second. Not well attached at all. Replaced it with a flat mirror from compact makeup mirror. Then discovered the vibration problem. No good way to fix that problem, so this mirror ended up in the trash can and I have a different mirror on order from someone else now.
The actual product was much larger than expected. Placement options are awkward.
