This salad is delicious. The lettuce was crisp and fresh as well as all of the ingredients. It was filling and lasted me all afternoon. I took it to work for lunch. The dressing was yummy too.
Instead of paying $7 for a healthy alternative at a fast food restaurant I love the wide selection of ready-made salads at Walmart. It was fresh and very satisfying. I usually buy two or three for lunch or dinner.
This is a great lunch option! I find you have to make sure it looks fresh before you choose your salad to purchase, but it's a large portion that leaves you satisfied for lunch (or dinner) without feeling like you ate something heavy! Quick and easy lunch option!
The lettuce is cut in such big pieces it makes eating the bites difficult. But it is one of the best salad, lots of ingredients, plenty of dressing. Just need a knife for the large pieces of lettuce.
This salad was not as good as the cobb salad I got a few weeks ago. The lettuce was older and limp. I like ice burg lettuce for my salads and was disappointed that this was not that. But this could have no been a 1 time fluke and I will definitely try it again.
It's hit and miss with these salads. Sometimes there are whole hearts of lettuce and cabbage inside, or not enough toppings, or the chicken might be grissly... but sometimes they're pretty good! I usually split one with my husband. There's way too much lettuce for just one person. I waste a lot if I eat it by myself.
I found the Cobb salad to be high in greens, and not so much in other ingredients. Dressing is fresh. Lots of different flavors to tempt your tastebuds.
I purchased this salad today with an expiration date still 2 days away 9/22/17. When I opened up to eat it (a few minutes later), MOST of the lettuce was brown. After picking out most of the brown rotten lettuce I was left with just over 1/2 the salad. The picture below was just the beginning when I started to eat it. By the time I was done the plate was filled with brown rotten lettuce! In fact I only ate a few bites as I found lettuce that was a bit slimy as well. I couldn't eat but a few bites. Waste of $4. I will NEVER purchase the Marketside RANCH COBB SALAD or any other prepackaged salads there again.
I found an entire red cabbage back along a bunch of lettuce stems, you know the part old the romaine lettuce that's hard and you don't eat. Also part of the lettuce was all smudgy and the tomatoes were all wrinkled and soft. I typically don't have this experience at my local Walmart but there's always a first time.
I really dislike giving this one star but the Marketside Salads in the Walmarts by me in West Ky, are awful. They place the stalks in them. I don't eat lettuce stalks. Instead of nice fresh chopped lettuce, it is black leafy lettuce and green stalks, almost no green fresh lettuce at all. So I am not sure if it is only the Walmarts in my location or if it is the same every where. Today I gave it another try and they have added more plastic with an arrangement on top. I got home and pick out the stalks to trash. Ate some of it and then discover a plastic bag at the bottom of it, I then threw it all in the garbage. This is the Princeton Ky Walmart, Hanson Ky Walmart, Paducah Ky Walmart. All three of those have awful Marketside salads. I do wish they would carry more of the Taylor salads.
