It's tofu. Does cook up good and works just as well as you would expect tofu to do. It does have a lot of water in it, it's really wet so it is better to press it first.
I've never had any issues with this brand. For those who want a firmer tofu, freeze and thaw it! It changes the texture noticeably.
I pressed tofu with a heavy bowk before cutting them into small squares, then out them in a strainer to firther get rid of excess liquid, these are extra firm as advertised, and i love how they are non-GMO.
Great taste! Important - press tofu for 30 minutes with paper towels and a semi-heavy object on top to remove the moisture. Marinate overnight in olive oil, lemon juice, maple syrup, cilantro, garlic, and pink himalayan salt. Pan fry until seared on both sides. I add to a bowl of kale, cooked carrots, and spicy fried corn.
10/10. No synthetic herbicides, excellent amount of protein, some fiber, low calories, low sat fat, no sugar, low sodium, no risky additives

Upon pick up. The package was torn open. All the liquid poured out onto my trunk.
Got a pack that was beste before 03/27 on the 04/04…. Thats not fresh… and it was the more expensive replacement product
The shopper didn't notice that this product didn't have any water/liquid inside. So it was molded when I did open it. The shoppers really should pay closer attention.
