I practically live on these breakfast bars. They have great protein and the carb count isn't awful. I love that Walmart always has these in stock and at a great price!
We just bought a big box of Nature Valley crunchy oats and honey bars expecting the normal great tasting granola bars only to be completely disappointed. They taste weird, like a fake chemical sweet flavor that came out of a chemical factory and is attempting to mimic honey flavor but failing miserably. They have lost their yummy flavor and the toasty crunch, and with that, have also lost the customers in this household. They just aren't good now. To add insult to injury, they suffer from shrinkflation which is almost a good thing since there is now much less bar in each package to suffer through. If I ever see a box labeled “original recipe” maybe I'll give them another try but until then, R.I.P. Nature Valley granola bars.
I'm confused by this. I bought a box about 2 weeks ago, and really liked them because they were thin and crispy. So I bought a bigger box yesterday and the wrapper is different, but more importantly, the bars are thicker and not as crispy! They seem to be thicker and shorter than the ones I previously got. Which is a huge disappoinment because I really liked them the other way. And I'm not interested in this texture/thickness. I would've definitely said 5 stars at the previous ones but not these.
They used to be good, but now they are so bad and bland. No chocolate. Some bars are rock hard, others might as well be eaten like bagged granola. Sometimes the sweetness is just out of control, sometimes it tastes like cardboard. And where is the chocolate?? It's just oats and some noxious diluted chocolate syrup or something. Just gross. They are wildly inconsistent now, every box is a role of the dice and honestly after giving them a year to get back to old form, I can no longer continue to roll the dice. I guess thankfully the dark chocolate and peanut butter ones are usually reliable.
Terrible. Like the recent reviews have stated, something has changed in the recipe. The bars are no longer dark brown and have no taste of chocolate. They look like nothing on the packaging. Talk about false advertisement!
Mine didnt come in the actual box with an expiration date. What I got looks totally suspish to me and I dont even want to eat them. I think Ill be requesting a refund.
Love the bar it's self and the box was completely professional sealed all around but when I opened the box most of my granola bars were already opened
I wish I could show you how the bars looked a year ago, because they used to have little chocolate flakes in them but then slowly they just became Coco flavored. Now all that's left is the slightest hint of cocoa and they aren't even darker brown anymore.
i purchased for my granddaughter to snack on after her track meet. She complained on how stale the bar was on her first bite. my husband had also opened up a differnt one and also complained. i tried his and yes, it was stale! expiration date is still good... 10Aug2023
Just bought box at grocery. Noticed new packaging. Tried the bars and they tasted nothing like prior versions. Compared the ingredients list between the two and notice that “canola oil” is now listed as “canola and/or sunflower oil”. Anyway it tastes terrible and the new bars are not as crunchy. It's almost like they are soggy or were exposed to moisture when you eat. Overall just bad. Not buying these anymore after eating them for decades
