These crunchy bars are my absolute favorite!! This last box I bought were extremely difficult to open each wrapper must have been sealed twice!!
Ok so I love these bars and I hate to complain but I don't know what else to do. So I have two pack of granola bars with my yogurt everyday. It's the only thing I can eat in the morning. So you can imagine how many of them I have purchased over the years and no other brand can dupe it. Ok so I have now purchased a large box at Costco and they were lighter in color and hard to break up and then bought a small box from a local store that had them exactly how I love them dark in color and brittle. Thinking maybe the Costco one was a fluke I buy a big box at Walmart just to be disappointed again with lighter color and harder texture. So that also puts me like $30 in the hole since everything is so expensive these days and I won't eat the harder ones at all and I hate having to open a million of them to find out that they all are that way In the box they came in. And plz don't come for me about wasting things because I know I do but I am a texture eater so everything has to be on point. I would just like to know if there is something I can do at home with the harder ones to make them more brittle. Thank you
This is one of my favorite breakfast bars, but lately I've noticed on the label of ingredients it says that it contains bio engineered ingredients, which really bother me especially with all of the talk of bugs being added in or food like crickets. I don't think I'm going to be buying this product anymore and it makes me sad because I really love the flavor or at least I did.
We just bought a big box of Nature Valley crunchy oats and honey bars expecting the normal great tasting granola bars only to be completely disappointed. They taste weird, like a fake chemical sweet flavor that came out of a chemical factory and is attempting to mimic honey flavor but failing miserably. They have lost their yummy flavor and the toasty crunch, and with that, have also lost the customers in this household. They just aren't good now. To add insult to injury, they suffer from shrinkflation which is almost a good thing since there is now much less bar in each package to suffer through. If I ever see a box labeled “original recipe” maybe I'll give them another try but until then, R.I.P. Nature Valley granola bars.
I'm confused by this. I bought a box about 2 weeks ago, and really liked them because they were thin and crispy. So I bought a bigger box yesterday and the wrapper is different, but more importantly, the bars are thicker and not as crispy! They seem to be thicker and shorter than the ones I previously got. Which is a huge disappoinment because I really liked them the other way. And I'm not interested in this texture/thickness. I would've definitely said 5 stars at the previous ones but not these.
I like the granola bar- great for coffee break. Not fatty or too sugary. But the new wrapper is kinda plastic and does not open easily. Getting to the bar through the wrapper destroys the bar. I am very disappointed by these new wrappers.
Staring 2022, food distributors have to disclose whether or not they add these products to their food ingredients. I have 2 different types of granola bars at home. Both boxes have “contains bioengineered food ingredients” at the bottom. Taking them back for a refund.
Love the bar it's self and the box was completely professional sealed all around but when I opened the box most of my granola bars were already opened
I have recently purchased two boxes (one large and one small) of Oats and Honey bars. The first large box tasted stale and was not crunchy at all. So, I decided to try a second box (smaller) from another retailer and that too tasted stale and did not have the usual crunch. Did the recipe change or did the packaging change allow the product to become stale? In any event, I will not be purchasing these until there has been some sort of change. A loss indeed for me since I had one every day.
Just bought box at grocery. Noticed new packaging. Tried the bars and they tasted nothing like prior versions. Compared the ingredients list between the two and notice that “canola oil” is now listed as “canola and/or sunflower oil”. Anyway it tastes terrible and the new bars are not as crunchy. It's almost like they are soggy or were exposed to moisture when you eat. Overall just bad. Not buying these anymore after eating them for decades
