Have been using Crosse & Blackwell Mincemeat for at least 45 years. There is no other on the market that can live up to it. I remember when Crosse & Blackwell had a plant in Baltimore Maryland.
Fantastic buy; Crosse&Blackwell quality. I add several chopped tart apples to make a full double-crusted pie and it disappears at the dinner table (so I make two and hope to clean the pie plate at dish time before it goes into the suds).
The Holidays are NOT the Holidays at our house without a Crosse & Blackwell Rum & Brandy Mincemeat pie. Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's Day ALL see it go like lightning. With whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or just plain it is a hit. Half want it hot; half cold so the whipped cream (100% pure heavy dairy; no garbage chemical stuff) or vanilla ice cream (no lo-fat or frozen yogurt) - pure, real, just like the Crosse & Blackwell Mincemeat mix. Real butter crust too! But, it's the Mincemeat that is the CENTER Hit!
Not only should mire people know about this product. It should be stocked in more grocery stores...it is the best ever.... and I have always looked for it, because it is the most flavorful, authentic mince meat there is...and Thanksgiving and Christmas parties need something special. This is it!

#1. It doesn't have meat in it. It is a lovely blend of fruit and spices. Makes a delicious pie or tarts. My vegetarian granddaughter loves my pies. Make it Thanksgiving and Christmas every year.
This is my favorite mincemeat. I grew up in Great Britain and was used to this product. Since living in USA I have tried American brands but they do not compare My son would never forgive me if I used another brand He and his children love mincemeat tarts and they are as necessary as a pumpkin pie at the holidays
I haven't tried this particular order but Crosse & Blackwell Rum & Brandy Mincemeat is my go to for the 16-20 dozen mince pies (tartlets) I make every Christmas. Not sure I'd make them if it wasn't available.
Every year near Thanksgiving and Christmas my cousin and I look for Crosse & Blackwell Rum and Brandy Mincemeat for pies and other holiday treats. I was delighted to find it on the Smucker's website. Because it is hard to find, I bought ahead to surprise my cousin.
Excellent product - flavor. The rum and brandy make it!
