I recently found out chicory grows in the wild here in Washington. I lived in NOLA more than ten years ago, but still miss the CC's start to my mornings; a cup of your coffee and conversation with locals in Uptown or the Garden District on Magazine St true to "good morning!", "hello" and "how are you?" Buying a stock of CC's for home now in the Pacific Northwest (Washington state) I poured out a cup from my new french press but had forgotten to buy milk to enjoy au lait! Have I ever had chicory coffee black? This is a good 'new'. :)
Love this Community Coffee with Chicory. Have been told by Cajun friends about the mosquito-repelling properties of chicory, and have found it to be true - no bites! Just wish Sam's had this coffee in K-cup pods.
Good price and great Taste
I have been buying this delicious blend of coffee and chicory for many years, and it always comes lickety-split to my door, and is never bitter, like the "other guys'" blend. I love this coffee for it's roasty, delicious chocolaty finish after each sip!
I couldn't get Community Coffee with Chickory at my local grocery store in Richmond, TX, so I ordered from the company's website. It was fast and easy and priced well! It was delivered 2 days later and was fresh and delicious! I have only drank Community Coffee, all my life. And, a pandemic won't stop me from enjoying it now!
I love my coffee with chicory, and a recent visitor to my home was reminded of how much he likes it, too when I served it. I sent him a belated birthday gift of the 23 oz Coffee and Chicory when I ordered pods of that and other roasts for myself. He was very pleased!
After a business trip to Lake Charles, LA, I discovered Community Brand Coffee. It started with the Dark Roast and that lead to Coffee with Chicory. After the trip back to Pittsburgh I would have friends going to Lake Charles to pick me up several bags. Now of course it is mych easier with the internet. Thanks for making such great coffee. A loyal customer for over 40 years
I wouldn't drink any other coffee. Make it strong and add lots of milk of your choice (I'm using oat and soy these days). No sweetener for me. Cool in summer, hot in winter. Use a chai tea bag or two or some chocolate syrup for an additional layer of flavor. No coffee shop stuff for me.
Being from New Orleans, one of the difficult this to reconcile with in the Northeast is the coffee. After another visit home to New Orleans I just couldn't live without Community Chicory coffee anymore and started ordering from the company. It is just the best tasting coffee, ever. I am so comforted opening the pantry door to see my stockpile of the wonderful coffee. I couldn't be happier with the service. It would be nice if the grocery stores up here would carry it, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.
The wife is from New Orleans and she loves it so much she refuses to drink any other coffee. We have been married now 10 years and she orders all of our coffee from community coffee before her mother passed she was shipped us community coffee at least once a month
