OUTSTANDING FLAVOR,MOIST IN THE MIDDLE, ALMOND TOUCH MAKE IT A HIT.SPREAD SOME FRESH HOT BUTTER IN THE MIDDLE AFTER FRESHLY BAKED AND BOOM NUMBER 5 RATING. IF YOU BOUGHT SOMETHING LIKE THIS AT DUNCAN DONUTS 2.50 A MUFFIN . TAP IT OUT WITH A FRESH POT OF COFFEE!YUMMY FOR THE TUMMY!
I baked this item in a fiesta loaf pan at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. It came out perfect. I had some cream cheese frosting and spread just a tad of that over the top while it was still warm and it drizzled down the sides. It is so good! Great with coffee too!
Krusteaz's almond poppy seed muffin mix is one of the best sweet bread mixes I've used. The batter rises better than most mixes. One box yields 3 dozen fluffy, moist mini-muffins with well-formed domes. Only negative is that the almond flavor is weak. Would recommend adding a teaspoon of almond extract to batter. Overall, is a great product.
I use Krustez banana but muffin mix alot, of course I add more stuff to it, but it is really good. I saw this muffin mix and like almonds so I thought I'd give it a go. My order came today, I mixed them up and baked and let me tell you I am so glad I bought this mix, it is the bomb! It has a huge almond profile and makes the house smell so good. The muffins are light and fluffy. I didn't add anything to them, as this is the first time trying them, they are already on my shopping list to add more to my pantry! I think they are my new favorite muffins, or at least tied with banana nut!
I had not expected to like the almond as well as I do the lemon but read good reviews so tried it. I baked it in a loaf pan and it came out delicious. Wonderful toasted with butter for breakfast. And, best of all, so easy.
Worth a try! Made it as a loaf with the recommended glaze and it was delicious! Not available in any stores near me. Great to have on hand for unexpected company.
I wish this was carried in the stores in the Omaha area.. I am grateful I still am able to order it on line I love the pound cake recipe to make a loaf of poppy seed bread. The recipe isn't on the new box which is disappointing. This is a moist, yummy bread/muffin mix with great flavor. I Store it in a sealed container in the refrigerator and reheat a slice on 19 seconds it in the microwave and it tastes just as good as when it first came out of the oven. I'd recommend this to anyone. The almond flavoring is wonderful.
This is a fantastic muffin mix that tastes like almond shortbread cookies. You can make it as the instructions call for, and it's fine. But if you replace the oil with double the amount of melted butter, and then mix all of the wet ingredients together (eggs and water first, then slowly adding the melted and cooled butter) before adding them to the SIFTED muffin mix, it's elevated to another level.
It has a nice almond flavor and it's easy to make, all you need is a cup of water and 1 egg. It did bake up nice, it rose higher than the other Krusteaz quick bread I tried. It's really dry. It didn't seem right to me that I didn't have to add oil, maybe that's why it's so dry? I ordered 2 boxes and I'm going to try adding oil to the next one to see if comes out more moist.
Didn't get what I asked for
