What happened to the strawberries in the ice cream? Breyers strawberry ice cream has been my favorite for years because of the strawberries and the flavor. The last couple of times I have bought it I have been extremely dissatisfied because of the lack of strawberries. The ice cream itself still has a wonderful flavor. What happened?
I previously loved Breyers as it has all natural ingredients. Last few times I bought the strawberry, it was barely pink with a few tiny pink flecks in it, could barely notice much of any flavor, not the strawberry flavor I loved. I still credit it with having all natural ingredients just it is more like ice milk. Very disappointing.
Very tasty but we couldn't find a spec of strawberries. if you want to get the effect of strawberries in this ice cream I recommend buying straw berries up and sprinkling them over the top. We only had a couple specks of pink in our strawberries icecream. a little bland but still tasty. We have never bought before so I will try again in the future. Maybe we just got a bad container??? We dug up the whole container and placed it in a bowl and we couldn't find any strawberries.
Just got home from grocery store and opened up the Breyer's Natural Strawberry only to be surprised with a white ice cream. It tasted like nothing so I think they forgot to add the flavoring. Very strange. I'm sure it was a mistake in the processing.
We found no strawberries in the whole container of strawberry ice cream. The flavor was the same but the texture was awful without the strawberries scattered throughout. It's like eating chocolate chip ice cream without the chips, same flavor without the texture. If this is the new strawberry ice cream, we will not purchase it again!!
I do mot like strawberry ice cream. Only ice cream that is even close to strawberry is strawberry cheesecake and they were sold out of the Hudsonville one. The ice cream I chose was Hudsonville cherry amaretto with fudge. I don't feel this Breyers ice cream is even close to what I ordered plus it costs more. Would like a refund.
Second time I was dissatisfied. Thought maybe it was just a bad batch but this was ridiculous!
