Taste like butter but don't burn.
When real butter is too expensive, this is the best substitute. It performs as well as butter in baking, frying and is good spread on homemade bread. I prefer to avoid buttery spreads because they have too much water to work as well as butter in baking and frying. Land O Lakes margarine is 80% fat, the same as butter, so it performs as well as butter in cooking applications. Buttery spreads are fine spread on bread, but they can't hold a candle to real margarine as a butter substitute. Many of them are only 40 or 50% fat, which makes terrible chemistry for baking with them. Land O Lakes margarine on the other hand, works flawlessly in any application that calls for butter. I use this everyday and am very pleased with its performance and flavor.
please i didn't like the substitution for this. i prefer a butter with the same brand that cost not more than $3.00 Thank you.
Land O’Lakes margarine is a very smooth, creamy and tasteful. It is very spreadable and goes on easy. This is the only margarine I buy and I use it for literally everything. My household won’t let me purchase anything else. We always have to be stocked up! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This product is the best tasting without butter that I have tasted, it tastes very good in bread, pure potatoes, corn cobs or other preferences. Its flavor is very light it is the closest thing to the real butter I've tasted. It is great to start your day with a hot toast, very good for cooking and in general it can be applied to varied tastes and recipes. I have used it for a long time and it is exceptional for health because it has fewer calories and less cholesterol. Recommended 100% [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Love Land O' Lakes butter! Thought I'd try the margarine for baking chocolate chip cookies. It did have a creamy texture, but the taste is a bit questionable. I'll stick to real butter. Had to throw away a whole batch of cookie batter. I wouldn't recommend using this product in baking goods.
Did not receive with my order....... Missing I was missing another item. The Land o Lakes margarine %23 1 pound quarters. Would like to hear back from you on a resolution..
Used their margarine for 25+ years in my chocolate chip cookie recipe. After re-branding/new packaging (no more woman on cover of package), I have noticed that the recipe was changed. Tastes awful! New oil blend makes cookies taste fishy. Have experimented with new recipe dozen+ times. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! DONE with Land O'Lakes!! ABSOLUTELY DONE.
I love this stuff so much it is so yummy tasting I could eat out of the sick but I'm not paying this price for margarine sticks when you can spend a extra dollar for actual butter
Made my usual batch of chocolate chip cookies using one stick of your margarine and one stick of butter so not too firm or thin cookies. The entire batch was the worst ever since companies started putting more water and 53% vegetable oil in their margarine sticks. I couldn’t figure out why the labeling was green but there were no different words on the individual sticks and only the zero trans fat, same great recipe wording on the carton. NOT SO...
