II like this one. I have both previous models of this series, in other vehicles this one replaces. Plus this one will sync contacts from my Iphone, using Bluetooth, none before has ever done that. I have a $700.00 Ottonavi unit that I do not recommend in my new truck that will not sync with contacts without a cable or I have to enter them manually. This one they went right thru Walla, Olay! I think it sounds great for radio and music, better than the Ottonavi, I do not like the controls for the radio small print on preset buttons and hard to just reach over and change channels but once you get presets it does fairly well. I would like more choices like being able to select a logo for my Chevy instead just advertising for the brand but it works good has IGO 8 maps the previous ones have IGO and Igo Primo which has nice features but would not display speed and time while navigating. With this one the time set easily, Gps time, location etc: set easily it is very simple and easy to set up it went flawless during setup very basic entry level setup I would say it is well worth the money could have a few more choices for Logo's etc bigger buttons and maybe a tuning knob would be great but it works fine. They improved this series of low cost indash Gps DVD stereo with Bluetooth I like the built in mice on this one
This radio supersedes any other dual din radio I had ever purched in the past. It does everything a 700.00 radio does but for half the price!
.I don't like the rate thing so early on cause I just got this but so far so good if it turns out to be a dud I will be sure to let you all know
I bought this only for the navigation as the roads here in El Paso tx are all going through changes and im easy to get lost on a new road. The sound is nice but a few things id like to have seen better. Removal tools ,larger on screen control but for the buck not a bad deal. Sounds good and graphics but not got to test this fully yet. My few in the past freaked out from the heat later with no control of the touch screen and volume blasting at times so will wait to write more.
You get what you pay for. Don't buy this for the navigation, but it's a good value for the money. Overall sound is good, and Bluetooth features work well. Looks nice, and gives an older car a modern feel. I wouldn't use it in a newer vehicle, I'd spend more money on a better brand. Not all the features work as well as they should.
The BV9386NV, The CD player isn't playing all my CD's and not sure why. It has played them in the past, but now it doesn't. The GPS is a bit difficult to get set up as another mentioned. I did have issues pairing my older phone with another vehicle a 2022 Honda Truck radio, but pairing my phone 2019 phone with this radio works flawlessly. The radio clock display is tiny, I'm not sure if it's ever worked properly. The AM/FM works fine, and I've never attempted to play a DVD. I'd like to set the clock and that's why I am on this site today, seeking information and decided to leave some. (Two years ago, I'd never heard of this brand, I wanted a Super Tuner II Pioneer like the olden days, but I couldn't locate one, I still love to play my CD's. I have my old Stereo Eight Track, but no 8's to see if that works. Have a Blessed Day!)
overall the unit is ok for someone who doesn't want to use it for a radio. mine wouldn't tune a local radio station that i was able to get with my stock radio easy. i even used a booster and it would still fade in and out ... you could play dvds or cds, the gps was average but you could not add POI. The BOSS tech support is laughable. they acted like they didn't care and just wanted you off the phone . that's after a horrible hold time all in all if you are a teenager wanting to impress with a new stereo that looks neat but doesn't have to perform at all go for it
just had the garage put it in, was junk, would not stay on, very disappointed that I paid 213.00 for junk.
The Boss BV9386NV is a bright idea that doesn't do what its own manuals say it does. Yes, I said "manuals," as in two. They contradict each other, you see. In researching it, I have also learned that the company that distributes under their name doesn't seem to care to know its own product. As I learned in pre-sales calls to their company (they still haven't answered their online inquiries two months after I sent in requests). Since this isn't stocked at my local WalMarts, I went to a competitor who did carry the BV9386NV and their floor model didn't work. Their installers hooked a new in the box one up and that one didn't work either. Based on that, and other reviewers who had issues that were already known to Boss Audio but they continued to sell the product, I'd recommend you stay away from it. I returned the unit I ordered. If you buy this and have problems, Boss Audio's solution is to remove it and ship it to them (not pre-paid by them, mind you). So, you'll have a hole in your dash for the weeks it takes for them to process and then send you a refurbished or repaired model. No, you won't get a new in the box one if you have to return your new in the box purchase. Buyer beware.
Really disappointed in this second purchase First one stop working one week after warranty expired Bought a second one and it's doesn't really work all that great. Thinking about pulling it out and returning it..
