I had heard of yet never tried any type of soy milk until now. The Silk Chocolate Soymilk was such a wonderful and delicious surprise! I have stomach issues and wanted to try an alternative to whole milk which led me to try Silk. I am a chocoholic so the chocolate milk was my first choice when trying soymilk. I have to say I was very skeptic but took the plunge only to be amazed at the rich chocolate flavor! It tasted like the chocolate milk my Mom used to make me with cocoa powder. It was as good as any regular chocolate milk and even better than some I had tried. The chocolate flavor was perfect! It wasn't too sweet and a nice consistency. I felt it was a little thinner than regular chocolate milk but not by much. If I didn't know it was soymilk then I would have never known it wasn't regular chocolate milk only with a richer chocolate taste that is just delightful. I LOVE THIS. I've never really been a fan of chocolate milk but I love this, every morning I boil some (or drink it regular) in a pot so it's like hot chocolate. It's so creamy and just deliciously delicious. Between my household and I we drink about 2-3 containers a week...is that ok?
This is the most delicious chocolate milk I have ever had and I don't have to feel bad drinking it! The only chocolate milk we will allow in our house from now on!
I personally don't like milk, but this tastes amazing. It has a sweet taste that I love, but it's not too overpowering which is great! I would 100% buy this product again on my own. If anyone is looking for an alternative to milk, or just doesn't like the taste of dairy milk I would highly suggest trying this! I am looking forward to trying other flavors! I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable Silk chocolate soy milk is. It looks very nice when you pour it into a glass with this thick, silky texture. I knew that chocolate soy milk existed, but I had never tried it before. When you start to take a sip, there is no hiding the soy milk smell; I don't think it's a bad thing, but no one will be mistaking it for regular chocolate milk. That being said, it does taste pretty good with a chocolatey taste that is familiar, but that I can't quite figure out what it reminds me of. Overall, if you don't want to drink dairy milk, and what something a little more exciting than plain soy milk, Silk chocolate soy milk is a good option; just don't expect it to be chocolate moo juice. My roommate use to drink these little juice boxes like chocolate soy milks like in the picture and so for a period of my life, I too drank them. It was back in the beginning times of the milk alternatives era and I was surprised that for being non-milk…it was okay. Actually, I don't really like milk at all so maybe that's why I liked them…but I do like chocolate milk. But after I drank a few of them, I kinda got really sick of them…and I don't mean sick from them but just the idea of the processed things used to make it and the taste and I don't know. Now when I see them I momentarily get nostalgia for those times with my roommate and then I remember that I don't like them. But she loved these things. So I gave it a higher rating because of how obsessed she was - I feel like a product that produces that much love from someone deserves at least three stars.
first year an a half I bought this stuff it was great. smooth, great taste, loved it. Last 9 1/2 gallon cartons i have gotten (spread out over the last several months) it pours with big lumps even though its well within the sell by date (bought last one on 10/28/15, expiration is 12/21/15). It doesnt smell bad or taste bad (although it really doesnt have much taste at all). not sure what happened. It was suggested I have to shake it up better...but I didnt shake it for the 1 1/2 years so what changed? All of sudden I have to shake the heck out of it so its not lumpy and gross?
