I purchased this phone 1 year, 1 month and 3 days ago. Last night an update was scheduled to be installed. I woke up this morning and the apple logo was on the screen as if the phone was trying to boot up, then the screen would go blank for a bit and the apple logo would show back up as if it were trying to boot up again. It repeated this indefinitely. I took it to the Apple store, they said that the phone is broke and can't be fixed. The phone only had a 1 year warranty. I dunno why, but I expected an $1100 phone to last longer than 13 months.
