I stay up to date on iPhones and wouldn't get one without a Defender case. I have dropped my phone, on tile, on cement, out of the car and every time I am so grateful that it is protected and that I have never had an issue with my phone. Good work Otterbox!
As soon as I took my new iPhone 12 pro out of the apple box it went right into the otterbox, it's the only case I trust for all my apple products
This case did a AMAZING job, normally i think im a average phone damager but today i left my phone on the top of my car and then realized when it fell off while i was going 45mph, i was thinking it broke for sure, but the phone had NO DAMAGE and minimal case damage, just a few chips and a lot of road burn
This is the second case that I have purchased for this I-phone. The only issue was with the rubberized outer portion. I really put these to the test...I am tough on them. Otherwise really happy with all the OtterBox products I have owned over the years. When I get a new phone...I get an OtterBox Case immediately.
My old iPhone had an Otterbox Defender on it. On vacation I left it on the roof of my car. Flew off at a spot where you're driving 50 mph. Came back an hour later looking for it and on Find My iPhone it showed it was in the road. It had been sitting in the center of a busy road in Mt Pleasant, SC (IOP Connector.). I totally expected it to be smashed and when I picked it up, the phone was working perfectly. I'll never use anything else.
I have had several otterbox cases over the years. I went through two otter boxes with my iPhone 5s (the first case died for reasons unrelated to its build or usage). So when it was time to upgrade my phone to the new iPhone 12 Pro I would intrust my investment to no other case. The color selection is perfect for my pacific blue phone. It isn't as bulky as previous otter box defender cases but still as solid. Highly recommend!
I've had the case for about 2 weeks. It is a good case and it seems sturdy like my past Defender cases. The only thing I don't like is that there is no cover for the front anymore. I know you can buy something separate but I prefer it all in one. The price is the same as in the past when it did include the front cover.
Good case on the iPhone 12 pro, fits very tight does a good job while not too bulk like previous defender cases, no screen protector included also worth noting does not work with latercase gorilla glass screen protector or any screen protector that is edge to edge as it does cover over the edges of the screen plus the belt clip/stand isn't as sturdy as previous ones
The design of the case is great, and my phone is in immaculate condition despite one or two minor drops in this case. With nice bezels and a good screen protector, this really does protect a phone. The issue is, the inner plastic is extremely fragile, and has started to break after only a couple of minor drops (at max). I love otter box products, but it seems like they may have missed the quality of this one. The clips that hold the inner portion of the case together have also begun to break, causing the entire case to move around and feel extremely cheap.
I've used Otterbox cases religiously for many years. I even get their Defender series which has offered the most protection. Their new case for iPhone 12 and up proved extremely disappointing. The Defender case comes with a hard plastic shell covered by a rubber case. In the past, the plastic shell was thicker and therefore more durable. As you can see, the top part of the plastic shell broke in several places and even chipped and peeled away. The only thing holding the plastic shell together was the outer casing. This was the result of normal use. No drops.
