In the past, I've had Symmetry cases for various iPhones, notably a 6s and a Xs. I prefer the Symmetry series because it's relatively thin/unobtrusive while still providing reasonable protection. My only complaint is not with the case—it's with the shape of the phone itself. Apple has returned to the slab-sided design last used for the iPhone 5, and it provides much less "edge grip" when picking up or handling the phone than the recent round-edge designs. If you have a tendency to have a phone slip in your grip, especially if you have a large phone (e.g. iPhone 12 Pro Max), you may want to consider a case with "grippy" edges. Again, that's not the case's fault. I prefer the Symmetry design to any other case. My previous cases have held up well (lasting for at least 2-3 years, or until I upgraded phones).
I use a wheelchair so my phone is in my lap all the time, and hits the ground half a dozen times a day. This case offers wonderful protection, especially after the pretty but flimsy case Apple sold me with my 12 Pro Max. It's slim but really solid. The edges hold tight and there is enough extra lip to protect the screen well. The only thing I'd add is some of friction/tack on the back - it's super slippery and the after market grip stickers aren't great.
It's a good thickness. Not too thin, not too thick. Great color. Only complaints are that it's a little slippery. Would like it to have a little more anti slip added to the sides for grip. And the case is super tight, don't expect this to be a case to swap on and off easily. Other than that I feel like my phone is protected, MagSafe works good, and just a very good all around case.
I've had this case for a few weeks now. Protection is good. But it's smooth, too smooth. It's two tone color top and bottom color are different color and material, and the top color is already “dirty” looking from jeans. Bottom one fine. I had to carry other cases for a year to get to this dirty look.... so maybe a dark color is fine, but I would not get this pink again.
This was the second case I bought for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and it's better than the Apple MagSafe clear case but only because it has a lip to help protect the screen a little. MagSafe feature works good overall 4 stars.
This case feels good on the phone and doesn't add too much more size to it. Only thing else I would want is for it to have the alignment magnet also (line magnet under the circle magnet).
So the case it self is basic that's what you can expect from the symmetry series. It's a simple case that protects you're phone not much to say. The only complaint is I got a white case with mag safe and on the back of the case you can see magnetic pad for the mag safe. It just makes the back of the case look cheap other than that not bad at all. For the price there is better cases and other manufacturers that are exact in quality.
I have two gripes. 1)For some reason my screen now attracts a TON of fuzz, if you have a minor case of OCD and don't like a dirty screen you're going to be wiping it down constantly. 2)Slippery as heck, you have no chance leaning your phone against something horizontally on a table with no grip.
As much as I'd like to give it a good review. I can't. I took it out of the box, felt it, knew it would be a problem, put it on my phone, and was correct. The case, like so many others, has terrible grip, especially when considering it's supposed to help you not drop such a large and expensive phone. I wish this case was more like the Defender series which has the grippy rubber built in. Cases with the grippy rubber have always been better for grip, not these silicon or plastic cases.
I purchased the symmertry series case about a month ago. First impression it looked awesome in the package then I tried to put the case on my phone it took me 5 minutes to cram my phone in the case almost broke my phone in the process. I have yet to take my phone out of the case to clean it I'm to afraid I'm going to snap it trying to get it out. The other issue is how smooth this case is, I'm sure the purpose is to slide in and out of my pocket but it slides out of my pocket way to easy when I sit down in slacks. I think it needs a little more grippy on the back side and if you could put some type of lube in the box so customers can get there phones in the case without messing them up but, what do I know I'm not the phone case expert.
