[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best cell phone I ever had. The pictures and videos are so clear, and the fast charging is amazing ! It actually warned me when my charger was going to damage my phone. The battery really last all day, really !!! The best purchase on a cell phone I ever made. Would definitely recommend S21 5G 128GB. A must have cell phone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Completely exceeds all expectations. Moving on from a Note 9 (which is still an excellent phone in 2021!), I wanted an upgrade to improve my camera without spending a huge amount of money, as I already have a full Sony A7r iii for my main photography needs. This phone meets all those needs and more. First off, the main camera performs wonderfully despite being a base level model. Images are sharp with good dynamic range and detail. It's a bonus that you can also take 64mp photos as well. Other photographer friends have commented in disbelief that a cell phone is capable of capturing so much detail (though good lighting is required). On some fast action shots from a distance, there is a small difference between what is seen on screen and what is captured, but this is likely to avoid out of focus shots. The ultrawide camera is good, though there's a bit of distortion at times but a fairly good performer at this price range. The zoom is solid, performs well in good light and average in low-light (though still more usable than most older phones). The macro capability is nice, not exceptionally sharp but it allows for much closer focusing than most phones. Overall, if you stick mostly to the main sensor you will be very pleased at the image quality which is an enormous improvement over models before the S20/S21 series. As a phone, this also works great. The 5G signal is strong in my area and Wi-fi works great. The quality of the microphone is excellent as it picks up the voice very clearly, even from a distance on speakerphone. The speaker volume is quite loud and can be turned up fairly high without causing distortion. As a gaming device, the display is quite bright and is easily visible in strong sunlight. There is plenty of RAM so I can keep quite a bit of applications in memory without closing. The processor is quite fast, with a noticeably faster loading time than my previous phone. The only drawback is a decrease in display quality from a more premium model. In terms of color accuracy, this isn't really noticeable for professional work. However, the decrease in resolution does make the image seem a little less sharp and allows for fewer items to be on screen at once. For most users, the resolution of 2400x1080 is great but only seems a little worse because the Note 9 had a resolution of 2960x1440. Battery life is great, easily gets through the day without any issue and makes a separate battery pack unnecessary (the phone also charges relatively fast). Size is great, with a generous display area and still able to fit comfortably in one hand. As the phone is generally in a case, the plastic back isn't very noticeable. Scratch resistance is excellent as dropping the device and putting it in the same pocket with keys hasn't resulted in any noticable scratches at all. The device pairs well with bluetooth headphones, so the loss of the 3.5mm jack isn't an issue at all. Finally, the fingerprint reader is very fast and accurate, even with a screen protector on. Overall, highly recommended. After my great experience my family bought 3 more additional devices and have been very satisfied with their purchase.
So I've been playing with every little feature built in app and of course running a ruckus on the camera modes along with setting up my personal feel of the UI. As always The Galaxy is a smash out-of that and should be its own Universe!! I love the Galaxy S21+ 5g talk about smooth transitions between screens apps and the speed of it all. It makes you wonder why computers and laptops are even existent and Apple who?? The camera on it is beautiful I do photography with High End DSLR Cameras and am a direct contributor through Getty Images, EyeEm, Shutterstock and haven't touched my Canon's or Nikon's since..... That's saying lots since that's been the income of choice for years. Also the Samsung Knox,Samsung Pay,..... lime what personal and home loans through the highest end Cellular cameras since cameras went on a cellphone. Come join the easiest to use phones put on the market, I mean really think whemsnthe last time you heard Knox pull back because they couldn't keep you safe. Well done my friends well done
I received the S21 ultra from my wife as a early birthday present. One of the first pictures I took was a spur of the moment zoom in of the moon, you can actually see the craters, unbelievable. Everyone that I show it to can not believe it. Makes me look like a professional photographer, LOL
I've had the phone since launch, and it has been awesome. Hands down the best phone camera there is.
This phone is awesome it does everything I ask of it , and more . The memory capacity rocks . It's easy to use , looks pretty cool , great camera quality . Picture resolution is freaking awesome . Fits perfect in my hand . The sound quality is magnificent couldn't ask for better sound . I have recommended this phone to all my friends and family 3 of them got this same phone . I can't put it down for 20 minutes its got me hooked .
I've always been impressed with Samsung phone cameras but this bad boy has a night mode that grabs the light that is available & uses it to brighten the picture. Super clear videos on 4K as well. I could go on & on & by the time I'm done you'll probably have one ordered. The battery also last a heck of a lot longer!
I was happy getting a new phone. However, I am very disappointed that my Galaxy 2 watch will not sync. I loved that it worked well with my Galaxy S 20 plus phone, connected by Bluetooth. We are retired, and I can't pay for a sim card for my watch servi9ce and my phone service too! You need to make a fix for this (says unable to find connection) Love this watch and like the new phone but if I could use them together It would be heaven
I went from a note 9 to the s21 ultra thinking I was getting a game changing phone and to say I am disappointed is putting it mildly. You not only lose the auxiliary port option, you lose the s-pen, you lose several other key features of the note which I thought I wouldn't miss, but I do. Those aside, what I really bought this phone for was the camera. I thought I was going to get a phone with a top of the line camera that took clear, beautiful photos especially at a distance. This phone falls short every time. I wish I had never spent the money to upgrade, because it was a total downgrade. The photos always come out grainy. It doesn't matter if it's during the day, or at night, or sunny or cloudy, inside or outside, people, places or things, it is always a subpar photo that you can clearly see is grainy. Most of the photos of people that I've taken are overexposed which can be adjusted but they are really lackluster in comparison to the standard settings on older note phones. I wanted to love it and I was really excited about it since I've been a samsung user for about 12 years, but going forward I think I might go ahead and step out of my comfort zone and try another brand.
I was excited to purchase a brand new S21 5G to replace a really old phone that was struggling to text anymore. Purchased an unlocked model directly from Samsung (mistake). Spoke with tech support over 14 times. When I finally got them to agree to warranty service, they sent me to their contracted external provider uBreakiFix who said the unit was defective from the manufacturer and had a bad 5G antenna. (They also didn't have a record of my appointment for warranty service and told me to come back a different day) Samsung wanted me to send it in for another round of diagnostics. However, I no longer had a backup phone because of the whole trade-in offer, so now I was expected to be without a phone while working with patients at a hospital during a pandemic or go spend money on a temporary phone for 5 days to 15 days. Anyways, sent it in, their tech support factory reset it (we'd done this 3 times already), didn't bother to call us for any questions or clarification, said it passed their diagnostics so the phone was fine. They had said if it was broken they were sending a refurbished phone in trade for a brand new phone that had never worked correctly. Just before doing a credit card chargeback for a 5G phone with defective 5G, T-Mobile who was in no way related to any of this other than being my carrier actually reached out to me and comped a brand-new S21 5G and took the defective one in trade. The new device from T-mobile, identical in every other way down to the color, works flawlessly. (T-mobile had also checked all of my cell towers in person at home and work and determined them to be in working order). Samsung customer support is terrible and they will not honor their own warranty. And while you try to get them to do so they'll drive you mad. Terrible company and I do not recommend this phone. If it works, it's great. If it's defective, you're out $600-900 with no chance of getting it fixed.
