I prefer Otterbox cases for the protection they provide as well as the quality of the product. They last forever. I found a very colorful one with a pop socket on the back that will be easy to spot in my purse or when I put it down (not the clear shown above). I have not had one with the built in pop socket before. So, I cannot comment on this part of the case.
I like the translucency of this phone case because my blue iPhone shows. And when I use the flashlight it kind of glows. I am a glitter girl at heart and like the pop socket that is built in and practically flush with the back so it lays better than the old stick on poppers. Also you can change the pop socket face whenever you want which makes it a flexible accessory for my mood or a specific event. I remember when phone cases first came out they were very industrial and hideous. I am glad they realized not everyone digs that look.
I've had this case now for a couple of weeks for my new iPhone 12 Pro, so far so good. My biggest worry is that it may yellow because of the clear case but we shall see ... I would've given it 5-stars if it weren't for the fact that it was a little cumbersome getting the phone in (which could technically be a good thing), but so far with regards to the protection - it is solid. I like that the case does cover all edges and there is no room for budging and/or slippage of the phone. I've always been happy with my other otterbox cases. I do like that it showcases the beauty of the new phone color ... and having a exchangeable/removable popsocket is a plus. I do worry about wireless charging - I don't feel that this case is made for it (due to thickness).
This is a fantastic case. The case was tight to put on but not impossible and that just gives me more comfort that it will stay on. I gave this case/phone to a friend who had a stroke and has difficulty gripping items. The pop out on the back makes it super easy for her to hang on to and the bright color is very cheerful.
I got the Stardust Glitter case for my new phone just four months ago, and it's already yellowed on the edges where the buttons and charging port/speakers are. It looks fine everywhere else. Must be a different material. Very disappointing for the price.
I have waited a while to write this review because I was Hoping I'd fall in love with it. I haven't. I LOVE the symmetry series. It's slim and strong. I bought this because I wanted A pop socket so it made sense. The case is not the same. It is significantly bulkier. It's so disappointing, I wish I had Ordered the case and attached my own pop socket.
The case looks great with the blue iPhone 12. When I took it out of the package and barely pulled on the pop socket to the extend it (didn't even put it on my phone yet) the pop socket fell off, the plastic part where it attaches to the other plastic piece that holds it in the phone case separated. It didn't even look like the fit together. When I tried contacting the company no one responded. So I just superglued it in frustration. The case is great pop socket part is cheap.
I had to return it. I was excited to get a case with the pop built in, but they way it's made it's uncomfortable to fit your fingers under the pop. The case also had a yellow tint to it I wasn't expecting. I sent it back and bought a regular clear otter box in stores.
I had the similar case for iPhone X and it worked well with my wireless charger. I saw reviews that this didn't work with the wireless charger, but since my previous one did I expected this would be no different. Not sure what they changed, but it does not work with a wireless charger despite claims that it does. I have to remove the pop socket in order to use the charger. Will probably return it.
This phone case was hard to get on my phone. Once on it tended to compress buttons on its own. Turned my phone off one night so my alarm didn't go off and turned my video off randomly. Ditched it after less than a week and all those issues went away
