I have been using this for the past month and love this. Primarily use this to to create a Wifi zone in my car for the kids to use their devices instead of connecting to my phones hotspot. Really a game changing solution for my requirement from a brand I have learnt to trust. My only complaint would be the SIM card tray, when you fit the micro SIM card in the provided tray and squeeze it through it kept popping out, I was able to get it in after 4 or 5 attempts.
The Mobile Hotspot AC797 is a great device. It works very well, is fast, and was easy to set up. The only issue was with the APN configuration which required a call to my provider for information. I would recommend it highly.
The battery life is great. I have used it on my Chromebook with Remote Desktop to connect to a Windows Server 2016 Server and it connects great for using with Visual Studio 2019 and MySQL Server. I have used it with SSH and SFTP connections without a problem. Our whole house is networked through Netgear and their hotspot equipment performs much better than the competition
Very easy to use and setup good quality fast and efficient
This thing works like a dream. We recently took a 12 hour trip and used it in the truck. My wife stay online watching her stories almost all the way. Of course it did not work in the mountains where no one has coverage. The rest of the way she was engaged and I was driving in peace or listening to YouTube videos.

Most devices easily connect via WiFi and fir this the hotspot is perfect. For desktop PC it's more complicated. Tethering (via cable) works well but you're limited to one pc. Some desktops connection with Wi-Fi is either much harder or impossible.
Item was refurbished and not new as advertised. And is still locked to the previous owner… I need to return
I bought these devices supposedly new and they arrived used. Open and used boxes. On Amazon you can buy used ones at the best price. This seller is not reliable. The devices appear very used and scratched. what a bad experience.
