This item does require some assembly, and the instructions were not all that clear, so there was a little bit of "trial and error" going on there. That being said, when assembled, this is a lovely product for a very reasonable price! (It doesn't make sense to me to spend a huge amount of money for something that the baby will be using for such a short period of time.) Overall, we are very pleased!
It was a pain to put together when I have a newborn but once it was together it's really pretty baby is sleeping in it as we speak and it has rollers that make it easy to move when I need it just a bit closer. The toy box underneath is a awesome addition to this I didn't even know about it till I went to put it together it was a nice surprise. I love this I will tell my friends about it forsure!!
I like the look from the Bassinet, the quality is ok and it's very practical for me in a house with two floors because a I can take off (detached) the bed from the base and can so bring it easily upstairs. The only negative points: The wheels are a bit heavy to flip over and the mattress is cheaply made and very thin. So I had to buy a better mattress. But all together I'm satisfied with this product and to put together or build up was not difficult for me and I'm a woman ;-)
As others have said, assembly is complicated. The directions aren't particularly clear. But, it is a good bassinet overall. Smaller than some and somewhat low to the ground. I like that it has a toy box use after the baby has outgrown it.
I love that it has wheels, and the awning helps block out light from the lamp if I don't want to sleep while baby is sleep. The compartment on the bottom is perfect for storing diapers and wipes and little baby napkins. Con The little thin pad doesn't seem to provide much comfort. It is extremely firm.
It's hard to put together and the screws that were given weren't quite long enough. I had to use clamps to complete it. The directions weren't helpful either. Very very aggravating. It's mass produced and you can tell...
I ordered this bassinet for my nieces baby shower. When it arrived there were parts missing. I contacted Walmart.com who immediately sent a new one to me. The second one was also missing parts!!!! Luckily not the same parts that were missing from the first one. Very frustrating. Makes me question the Badger Companies processes for packaging. Once the bassinet was assembled it is beautiful. Very sturdy. Had it not been for the frustration of dealing with missing parts i would highly recommend this product. I would not go through this frustration again, if it is a Badger product, I will not buy it for fear a similar situation would occur.
My wife and I bought two like products one from Walmart and another brand from another site. The Walmart Bassinet was difficult to assemble. The screws would not easily align and the hood does not stay up. Also, the casters are not multi-directional and only allow the bassinet to roll in one direction. Compared to the other bassinet, I would suggest the mfg of the Walmart bassinet also use wrinkle-free material.
Bad quality, visible color dripping. We ended up returning this item.
My wife bought this online where all we could see was the cleaned up photo. When I went to put it together, not only were the instructions written with only part of the information on it, but it was made of that ultra cheep material that you use on the back of your tv stand not the frame of it. I was afraid of breaking it trying to move the pieces into place to screw them down.
