This is the best super glue I have ever used. For the first time in several years of using different super glues, this gel stays where you place it. No drips or messy clean up. It really sticks to the item/items that you glue together. The cap hasn't stuck to the base in 3 uses.
Over the years, raising 3 sons & enjoying 6 grandchildren, I couldn't live without Scotch super glue. It is so easy to use. The gel is my favorite as there is less chance of it dripping while it is being applied. I've repaired everything from vases, toys, board games, book bindings, soles of shoes, to my favorite hummingbird figurine, which has survived to this day. The purpose of using the gel is to secure leather, feathers and strings of seed beads as necessary to make Native American crafts. The items are tiny and some are delicate so a secure holding substance is necessary to hold the tiny quills of feathers in place. The work needs to be done quickly so a good firm texture is an absolute necessity. The same is true for fine seed beads; they can not shift or the work is mediocre. The gel insures that hold and saves time, frustration and waste. I enjoy the luxury of being neat and efficient because I use Scotch Super gel. Wouldn't want it any other way. The glue works but one of the tubes had no glue in it
The glue itself is good but I used it once and the cap was glued shut.. I had to use two separate pairs of clamps just to twist the cap off... I used the glue covered it with the cap again and next time it was glued shut AGAIN. This happened with 2 separate bottles of the glue. I need a bottle that I can actually open and use more than once.
We bought this glue and never opened it until this morning and it was all dried up. I don't understand why is the glue dry and we haven't even used it!!!!
I needed glue to repair a punctured bicycle inner tube. I found a double pack of Sotch Super Glue in my kitchen drawer. After a few minutes gently trying to squeeze a drop of glue out I realized packet #1 was dry. I opened the second packet and found the same had happened to the second packet. Truly upset at this since 3M sold me a dud and who knows how many others are falling for this. No expiration date on the packaging.
I have used other glues that I have been pleased with; however, they did not have the glue I usually use so I made the very bad choice to purchase this Scotch Super Glue Gel and got to use it once! The entire tube hardened and could not even get the top off.
