I had the AP917HD installed about a month and a half ago and I'm already experiencing decreased flow-rate. For reference - I'm on city water and had it tested for sediment (came back clean) before to ensure I didn't need a spin down filter to extend the life of this filter. I'm at about 7-8,000 gallons and this decrease in flow is almost laughable. When it was first installed, I tested it with every upstairs faucet (4 sinks, 2 tubs, and a shower) on, and the flow was phenomenal. However, since, I've experienced a slow reduction in flow to the point that I have to bypass the filter every evening. This system is supposed to last 100,000 gallons and this is no where near the advertised metric! This decrease in flow completely offsets any of the positives that I've experienced - any smell is gone, the water tastes better, a reduction in algae and even a slight reduction in scale (even though I'm not using the HD). Not only does this reduction in flow make me regret my decision to go with 3M but also not just go with a more traditional and local whole home water system. Lastly, I couldn't find a "Contact Us" section so I am basically resulting to this method for contact. BL - 3M needs to find a way to "fix" this.
