works for dust, break dust and many other things. A must since I have allergies for every little thing.
It definitely filtered the spackle debris I sanded off the walls. Had a cheaper mask before and it did not work well. But, 1-the mask itself is very hot because it's thick 2-the valve was not opening when breathing out so it was even hotter. I pushed on the valve to make sure it would open. It began opening when I breathed hard. I was glad it was filtering the fine debris, but it was way to hot to be comfortable... and I'm cold natured.
