I purchased one of these about a year ago for use on aluminum engine surfaces. This is what many professionals use to resurface/clean gasket surfaces on aluminum engines. It makes me cringe when I see someone use a razor instead of one of these bad boys on aluminum parts. I've used this on lower intake manifolds, intake plenums, exhaust manifolds, throttle bodies, mower engine heads as well as the block during a rebuild, and I've even seen it used to clean/prep the head and block of multiple types of cars/trucks; all with outstanding results. Normally you want to run the speed high and use light pressure with your die grinder, this should allow you to achieve the best results. There is no need to use force, the bristles will do the work and leave the surface looking shiny and new. If exacting tolerances are needed, I recommend using a red scotch-brite pad to remove any minuet imperfections. In most cases this is not necessary. These pads will allow most anyone to get professional results. Get one; you'll be happy you did!
