The inventor of the Scotch Purple Glue Stick is one of my heroes. This is an excellent product--I greatly appreciate being able to see the glue go on and to have it dry clear. Since the glue spreads on with a purple color, it is so much easier for these little ole' eyes to see! I am able to glue envelopes faster and with more security than if the glue were not purple.! This product was great in my Pre-School classroom. The cap is easy on-easy off for little hands and the purple coloring helps with their ability to stay within the area they are working, whether it is gluing on a large surface or small individual items. I bought this glue stick to try out on some of my scrapbooking projects. I love it. It goesn easy and holds fast. I love that it goes on purple so I can see where I got or where I need to get and then it dries clear.It's good for any age or project. Try it and you wont regret it. The Scotch Purple Glue Stick has the same quality as other Scotch glue sticks. I use the purple glue stick for card making and scrap booking. It is especially useful for card making because you can see any excess glue. However, the one thing I dislike about the purple glue stick is after the first use, the glue begins to break down and may crack or break off making application messy. This glue worked really well for my teaching project in my class. Everything stayed together very well and when I had to move the project to other places, nothing came off. I love this product.
