Live in Upper Manhattan, had roach & mouse issues when I first moved into my old apartment. Tried the usual treatments, Boric Acid seemed to work on the roaches, but kept having mice problems, despite the efforts of a middle-aged cat. Plugged one of these bad boys in the kitchen over the sink , and one along the baseboard in the bedroom. Have not seen one since. That was in 2005. I highly recommend this product. Wish it was cheaper, though.
I have not had this product long, so I'm not sure how it's working on the pests... I could hear it's high-pitch noise as soon as I plugged it in. It's a noise that makes you feel kind of sick if you stand near it for a while. I would have to say I would probably not recommend it for that reason. But, if it does work on the pests, I will write another review.
I bought 5 of these, one for every room. It says it takes 6 - 10 days, for the pestchasers to fully work. On night 13, after having these devices plugged in, 4 mice showed up in my home. And 2 more mice showed up the next morning. These absolutely do not work, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I finally had to call a pest control place to come in & take care of the problem. Pestchasers are a complete waste of money.
These didn't work at all for me. Humans CAN hear them and they hurt your ears. The sound didn't bother the mice at all. Had to end up using poison to get rid of the pest.
We bought this to get rid of field mice. They ran right in front of them, it didn't bother the mice at all. We had only 2 when we recieved the pet chasers and now we have 5 mice. And you can hear the pet chasers buzzing.
