I am really surprised at the taste! I thought it was going to taste like cough syrup or medicine, but it tasted much better than I expected. I got the Pedialyte Electrolyte Powder, Grape, Electrolyte Hydration Drink, 0.6 oz Powder Packs (6 Count). The grape flavor really did taste like grape flavored drinks. I have tried beverages that says it tastes like a certain flavor, but it was far from the flavor it described on the bottle. I also really like that it is good for children and adults, so we do not have to carry more stuff or store more items in the cabinet. I also do not have to worry accidentally taking the wrong product. It is also really nice that these things are so compact, I can put it in my bag or even my pocket if I want to bring it to work or an outing. I use it for workouts, when I get them nasty stomach flus, or just when I am not feeling well and I can't take a lot of fluids or eat, this really helps me to stay hydrated. I am planning to take these on vacations from now on because during our last trip, we got really dehydrated from the heat and got ill. The worst thing is to feel sick during vacations, so for sure I will be taking it during vacations to stay hydrated in the heat and strenuous activities. One more thing, this tastes much better when it is cold.
I love these packs! They actually taste good too. The simple convenience is amazing. They are easy to keep with you at all times. I threw them in with my first aid kit I carry around in case my child or another become dehydrated. They are also great for flying!
I have used these in the past as a morning after "recovery" drink. These work great to rehydrate the body and also a great source of energy. The taste is great and can be altered depending on how much water is used or if the entire pack is used. I generally just use the entire pack with a full glass of water. Great for adults or children. Much less expensive than purchasing other electrolyte products like Powerade or Gatorade. I'd give these a try.
I tried this powder as an alternative to the Gatorade Propel powder that I normally use while exercising. First off it mixes easy in a 16 oz. bottle of water. The taste is OK. It's not something I would drink for recreation, but it's not bad and that is good enough for a fitness powder. As far as performance is concerned I would say it does an excellent job keeping me hydrated. I normally go through about 2 bottles of water over the course of a 90 minute workout, but 16 oz. of this kept me hydrated during my workout and afterwards. I would definitely recommend any one that trains hard to give this a try.
A little bit of background info about me will help this testimony, I imagine: I live in the Southeastern US where it's been humid and hot and fairly miserable. I've got a couple of extra pounds on me and I generate quite a bit of heat, perspire a lot, and generally drink tons of water each day to try and prevent dehydration or excess thirst. When I do get dehydrated, nothing have ever been able to quench my thirst, particularly not Gatorade or any other sports drink lauded for such things. Never done anything for me, always feels like it dries me out even more. In order to fairly test this thing, I cut back on my water intake by quite a bit for a couple of days and let my body dry out some until I started feeling the usual unquenchable dry-mouth that comes with some of these hot summer days. I mixed up a package of Pedialyte and drank the full bottle of water. Normally, a single bottle of water doesn't really do much in this situation. I will have to probably drink three or four just to feel a little normal again, but this ONE bottle with a package of Pedialyte managed to leave me feeling significantly more refreshed within the span of a few minutes. I fully intend to keep this on hand if I'm ever having this sort of issue and even recommended it to my brother who struggles to stay hydrated even worse than I do. The only downside, and this may have something to do with me personally or just the manner in which I conducted this experiment, is that it kept me running to the bathroom quite a bit after that. Nothing unexpected, but slightly irksome. Well worth the trade off for fast, successful hydration!
When one thinks of pedialyte, you think about hydration for babies or kids mainly. Pedialyte Electrolyte Powder, Grape, Electrolyte Hydration Drink, 0.6 oz Powder Packs (18 Count) was selected through the Wal Mart Spark Reviewer Program for my honest opinion. The grape flavor is a plus for the taste. No after taste, this is another plus. Great for days spent in the summer heat. All you need is one package of this and a bottle of water. This goes with the other water flavoring products. These are great because they don't require much space; throw a packet in your purse, bag, pocket or anything you carry. Highly recommended and remember hydration is for both kids and adults.
Appearance: Small, easy to take along packets that fit in a purse or diaper bag for travel. Mixes into water easily and conveniently provides hydration during travel for you or little ones. Taste: I wasn't crazy about the taste, but my children didn't mind. They felt it was like a grape popsicle. Bottom Line: It was easy to use, taste wasn't as enjoyable for me, and helped me feel better that my little one was hydrated after a bout with a stomach bug.
Pedialyte Electrolyte powder comes in easy to use single serving packets. These packets fit easily into the pocket of a diaper bag or purse without taking up too much room. Packets can be used as needed to replenish Electrolytes without concern of wasting Pedialyte! I love that the packets can be stored and on hand for sick kids. As a single mom I'm always looking for products that are quick and convenient in case of an unexpected illness. The packets are was my to pour into a water bottle with creating a mess. The grape flavor was light and tasted more like a regular drink without the sweet medicine syrup taste I often dislike about other Electrolyte drink. It was ok warm, but I would definitely recommend chilling the water before drinking the mixture. I had my 6 year old daughter taste it as well and she asked for more. She typically refuses Electrolyte drinks because she doesn't like the flavor. I'm excited that I have found a product that she will drink that will also decrease the likelihood of her becoming dehydrated!
This stuff is great for staying hydrated when sick. It's in a little pack so it's great for traveling because it's easy to throw in a diaper bag or purse and it's easy to mix. Just pour it in a bottle of water and shake a little and it's ready. This is good for kids and adults. Great to use after a hangover. It helps you recover much quicker and it's also good to use after work outs. I'm not a big fan of the grape flavor but it's tolerable.
This is not something that anyone would look forward to drinking. Maybe a child would like it because it is so sweet. If I need a pick me up in electrolytes, I will go to bone broth or salt water before reaching for this. The grape flavor tastes like grape medicine. And it is far too sweet. Pros: This is easy to transport.
