After trying SOO many different bottles that wouldn't work for our tongue tied baby girl we fell in love Joovy's Boob Bottles. The nipples are thicker so they don't collapse like other brands and the venting system they use is much less invasive which is great! The PPSU material really keeps the bottles from having an odor, they don't stain and the tinting on them helps the milk or formula to stay fresh. It's also very drop resistant which has come in very handy since these bottles have been dropped, thrown and launched by our baby girl many times! The only thing that does happen is that eventually the measurements on the side do start to come off, but this may be just from the constant washing's and normal wear. Our daughter's tongue tie had made it very hard for her to grip nipples on most bottles but the longer nipples for the Boob make it easier for her to eat. All in all we love our Boob bottles and I would definitely recommend them!
Its hard to find a bottle for my exclusively breastfed baby but PPSU Boob Baby Bottle has been amazing! I love the design and love its wide neck! It makes it easy to clean! The vent flow is perfect! and keeps my baby from sucking in air and getting colic! I also love the fact that it comes with an insulation layer that can be removed! my baby gladly took this bottle and had no issues with flow or gas im very satisfied and can't wait to try the glass Boob Baby Bottle next!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a breastfeeding mama but still found an importance to trying to teach my children to take a bottle. I've found that most times I travel, I am not traveling alone with baby. And that means that sometimes mama needs a night out. Traveling with a good bottle, like the Joovy Boob, and accessories like the new Nood nipples and a bottle brush with some dishwashing liquid is needed for bottle feeding. The best thing about the Nood is that it mimics the feel of the breast and helps achieve a perfect latch just like on the boob. That way the transition from boob to Nood is a smooth one.
Our youngest grandchild contracted RSV when he was about a month old. When his mother returned to work and could not nurse him during the day, he rejected each type of bottle he was offered resulting in weight loss. Once we found the Boob all of that changed. He drank with gusto, the weight came back and there was one jubilant grandmother. One might say the Boob helped to save our grandson's life.
The Joovy Boob PPSU has been a great choice for our daughter who is slightly tongue tied. She is able to easily latch to the nipple which seems to be more flexible than the Tommie Tippee bottles we used with our son. We also do not need to worry about the direction of the vent since these bottles have a four way vent system. The plastic is super durable and has the qualities of glass without the worry of them breaking. Can't wait to use the different flow sizes as my little one grows. Thanks for making this bottle Joovy! I absolutely love these bottles, with my daughter we tried so many options unsuccessfully, before finding the Boob. She was exclusively breastfed until 10 weeks when I needed to transition back to work. The Boob was a lifesaver, because it's the only bottle she would take, with my son we tried this option first and it was a seamless transition. I recommend and/or give a giftset to every new mom I encounter. I have used the glass and PPSU and love both equally, although the glass can be a little heavier for really little ones. My only caution, with my daughter I only used the glass and washed all the parts in the dishwasher. This was several years ago and the paint for the measurements wore off and a couple of the rings warped/stripped over time. I know they changed the paint, so no longer a problem and I've never washed the white rings in the dishwasher with my son, just to be on the safe side.
When our son was born 5 years ago, he refused every bottle on the market which made it a rough first year for me because as a nursing mom, I never got a break. When our last baby was born last year, we were bound and determined that she would take a bottle so we introduced the Boob right away. I loved the features from the very beginning. We liked the different flows available as our baby grew and how easily she transitioned back and forth between the bottle and breast. This is such a great, innovative bottle for breastfeeding moms!
We love our Boob! I feel silly typing that, but it's true! We had the chance to try one at a Joovy photoshoot, and I was shocked when my son latched quickly and didn't fuss at all! We came home and ordered some to try as quickly as we could. Our 4 month old is exclusively breastfed and when I needed to go back to work we bought several bottles that said they would be the easiest transition. He hated them all. My poor husband dealt with hours of crying when we tried to bottle train, because the baby simply refused a bottle from me. Our little guy has a hard time latching and those bottles were all too wide and the nipples were too short. The Boob is perfect! We opted for the Naturally Nood nipple, because it got such great reviews, and he has not only had no trouble, he's happier, swallows less air, and spits up less! Total win! I'm telling all of my friends about the Boob!
I love these bottles! No leaks and they clean beautifully! Our daughter took this bottle right away and didn't have any issues. I had to get medical treatment done several months after giving birth and needed to pump and dump for 24 hour periods over the course of two months. I was nervous the she would have a difficult transition from breast to bottle and back to breast but these bottles are fantastic. Just make sure to remember to put the clean flow vent ring on the bottle for every feeding or the bottle will leak. The clean flow vent ring prevents the leaking and also makes sure that the baby does not suck in additional air. Great great bottle!
I got the free trial one and it was perfect for my little babe (3months old) & has now been leaking a lot around where that ring thing goes . :/ I put it in correct I just don't know why it's leaking so much . So sad that these aren't going to work out for us..
