I was waiting on my electric pump to arrive but due to being engorged I had to stop on my way home and buy a "make-due" pump at Walgreens to use until it's arrival. After using this pump I cancelled the order of my expensive electric pump! What normally takes 20-30 minutes with the electric one to pump both breasts I did in 8 minutes with this little manual pump! It is quiet, quick and much less painful!
I was out of town visiting family and had brought my electric pump but forgot the valves. It's a spectra so you can't find the spare parts in stores. My baby was asleep and it had been hours since I had nursed him. I was very hesitant to use a manual pump thinking I'd have a sore hand and that it would take forever. NOPE! I was able to express almost 4 ounces in 5-6 minutes. I will definitely be using this on any trips as well as in the middle of the night since it's so quiet and easy to clean!!
I purchased it today because of engorgement I was from my baby for a day and got so engorged it was so pain I needed relief and fast with this pump it literally took five minutes to drain one breast out I was so impressed with how easy it was to put it together it basically come already assembled and added bonus it's quite which is good so I won't disturb baby or daddy late nights and I also can have daddy help with feeding if I feel I need a nap or something because I'm big on not giving him any formula until he's at least 6 months it's very comfortable the only downside is u can only pump into medela bottles but it's a definitely an awesome pump don't think about it just buy I would know as I am very picky lol

I spent 5 months pumping with a double electric pump. It took 25 minutes to completely drain me. With this little hand pump it takes ten minutes JUST USING ONE PUMP AND ALTERNATING! its so amazing! its so much better than the electic pump its ridiculous.
This is a great pump. It's easy, portable and convenient. I also use the electric Medela Pump In Style, and all the pieces work together. The Harmony is nice because it's so easy to bring everywhere, where the electric pump isn't. I also like the Harmony because it's easier to control than the electric.
