I am so happy I was able to get this pump for my second baby. I now have two, one for work and one for home/traveling. The quality is great. They are small and rather portable. The battery pack works great for on the go traveling. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this before my baby was due in April and have loved all the features so far. The pump itself has been great thus far and having the metro bag, the extra bottles, cooler, ice pack, etc. has been really useful as well. I can fit everything I need for pumping at work or when traveling in the bag, as well as my wallet, keys, and other personal items I might need so I don't have to carry a purse on top of the bag. The bag has a wide shoulder strap that makes carrying it easy and it looks like a regular large purse and not a breat pump bag. Overall very happy with my purchase and the extras were definitely worth it, as I use them all on a daily basis. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I love this pump! I had to pump very early on after my daughter was born because I needed to have surgery. The Sonata was not only easy to set up, but use. As a first time mom, I appreciated the ease and was able to pump what I needed. If I had to add anything to the product it would be a full range of flange sizes. Mine came with 24 mm and 27 mm and I only recently discovered both to be too big. On the hunt for the right size for a better pumping experience.
It works great. Super easy to use.
Difficult to turn on and off due to the location and size of the knob. Makes it extremely hard to manuever even with one hand free. The 2nd let down feature is helpful in greater emptying of the breast and the pump overall is very efficient. Convenient bag that also makes carrying it discrete.
I've used this pump for 3 months now. I prefer it over my other branded pump. It's much easier to use and empties my breasts much faster. One thing I did change was to use duck bill valves. I was constantly losing the white disks. I also wish it was removable from the bag for home pumping. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My insurance company sent me this pump, I was not aware we were able to choose. The pump does get the job done but after using the Spectra S2 I prefer that over the Medela. The S2 removes milk much better and it also keeps time so you don't have to remember what time you started pumping. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I feel like I will get some backlash for this review, but honestly I’m so disappointed!! I bought an Evenflo Pump when I first had my son and while it does it’s job I wanted something that could express my milk faster. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about the Medela so I thought I’d give it a shot. Horrible. Extremely disappointed. It takes FOREVER to get my milk to let down. It takes about 5 minutes before I see my first drop and about 20 minutes just to get an ounce. With my evenflo I can get 3 ounces in 30 minutes or less. So so so sad about this
I really regret choosing this pump as my insurance covered pump and paying extra to upgrade to the tote bag option. This is literally the worst pump I have ever tried. The suction is not strong. Although easy to use, it lacks basic features like a timer. I regret choosing this pump and paying extra to upgrade. This pump ended up on my closet and I was forced to go out of pocket for a better quality pump.
I’ve been lightly using my medela since May.. and even with letting the pump run and clear the tubing it has left black mold in the tubes. I’m now having to replace multiple parts and dump everything I’ve pumped in three days.
