I was pleased to see this product! Spring Valley Cognitive Health Omega Turmeric has it all covered, your heart, brain and joints. These are the main concerns of age related issues with my health. I haven't had any side effects from using this supplement. The gel caps are tasteless and easy to swallow. The fact that Omega-3 and fish oil are added to this is a great idea to help with heart function. I am interested in how my brain reacts to the turmeric. I expect it will take some time to notice any change. They recommend taking two gel caps each day. If I notice a difference then Spring Valley Cognitive Health Omega Turmeric will be included in my daily supplements.
These softgels have been so helpful for me in my joint care. Im 38 and had started running for the first time and must have been doing it wrong because after a couple of weeks I some how messed up my knees and they have never worked right again since. Its been at least 6 months and I stopped running when it happened. Now when I squat down for something so simple like picking something up it hurts. I've been really sad about this cause there is just no reason for it and I miss the way my knees worked prior. Since I have been taking these pills I will say I have definitely noticed a difference in the pain lessening. Its much easier to squat down. I will warn that the pills are huge but totally worth it for everything you get out of them. They have fish oil in them as an ingredient too. I really enjoy them and would completely recommend them to anyone who is in need of some joint pain relief.
I take these Spring Valley Cognitive Health Omega Turmeric Softgels everyday. Tumeric is well known for its tremendous anti-inflammatory properties as well as supporting Cognitive Function. These easy to swallow softgels contain 400mg of patented Advanced Absorption Longvida® Turmeric. Standardized Turmeric Extract, 1,000 mg of Heart Healthy Omega-3s from Fish Oil, a Premium Blend of Omega-3s + Turmeric for Brain Health and 100% Wild Alaskan Fish Oil. The 1,000mg of omega-3 fatty acids containing 5540mg of EPA & 360mg of DHA are from wild-caught Walleye Pollock and/or Pacific Whiting. Its MSC-Certified and a really smart and easy addition to a healthy routine.
I have only been using this product for two weeks, but so far, I have noticed that I can hold a thought longer than I could before using this product. I assume the benefits will be accumulative with time, so there may be positives to be unlocked with continued use. If you have trouble swallowing large pills, this is not the supplement for you. I don't eat fish ever so I was looking for a good source of Omega-3 from a low mercury fish source for brain and heart health benefits, and these supplements offer 1,000 mg and I'm thankful to say they don't cause any side effects like “fish burp”. I'm in my 50's and dealing with a family member's illness that prevents me from sleeping through the night, and I'm hopeful that these supplements will help clear the mental fogginess that I have been experiencing. I've been taking them for only 3 weeks so far so I can't say for sure there's really been any benefits yet in mental clarity, but the turmeric may be responsible for the decrease in knee pain lately. I've experienced no side effects from this product, and I am impressed by how easy it is to swallow these pretty large soft gels. I can easily swallow 2 at once with a sip of coffee. No aftertaste, no artificial flavors, dairy, peanuts, sweeteners or gluten. I'm confident enough to continue taking these for at least 3 months, if not permanently just for the heart health benefits alone.
Ingredients seem to be quality and amounts are appropriate. It's always a gamble with Omegas as many can give you fishy burps. I have not experienced that with these soft gels. My only complaint is they are horse pills and the dosage is two capsules daily.
I like it mostly because of the Turmeric content. I take Turmeric because it seems to help with my sciatic nerve pain I suffer from in my lower back and left leg. It also has a nice dose of Fish Oil too. I don't like that the soft gel caps are so large though. Especially since it says we should take two of them a day.
I was really surprised when I saw the size of these supplements. The directions say to take 2 each morning, but I had a hard time swallowing even 1. I would rather swallow 3 smaller pills than 1 this large. Sorry, but these will not be used by me. The idea is terrific, and the ingredients are quality, but I just can't get over the size of them.
I wanted to be able to take this supplement because the ingredients were just what I was looking for. Unfortunately my stomach did not agree. In all fairness, my stomach does overreact with some foods and supplements. This one repeated on me all day. Fish taste all day. Then the diarrhea came. That was the first day. I stopped and waited a few days. Then I tried it again. Same thing. I can't take this long enough to know if it would have worked for me.
I received the Spring Valley 60 count soft gel capsules from the Spark Reviewer Program without any cost to me. Spring Valley recommends that two capsules be taken each day with a meal. The capsules are approximately one inch long but, are easier to swallow because they are soft gels. In addition, it appears to be a quality product.
